Delphinho123
He said his priority is to get a winger. He’ll know the players we have in wide areas aren’t good enough. He’s probably looking at Cash, Digne, Bailey and Buendia and thinking he needs to upgrade on all of them.

So surely that means he regrets his job over 7 games? Im going back to bed.

Alot of these players should never play for the club again
MentalM
He has to assess the squad, and in the league we can still get a place in Europe. I understand him, and agree with his choices. The team we put out should walk over Stevenage, most of them earns more each week than their players do yearly. Many players didnt earn themselves any favors after that performance, and hopefully Unai can get a better understanding of what we need now. Popular Post JAMAICAN-VILLAN
We've got the most qualified and proven Manager we've had in probably a decade. A Cup and tournament specialist who got dumped out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle by a 4th division team. ( Oh Villa ) I think it's time to realise our issues lay deeper than any Manager. If there is any Manager we need to give time to build, it's certainly this one! There will continue to be ups and downs!

If there is any Manager we need to give time to build, it's certainly this one! There will continue to be ups and downs! I totally agree with this. Unai is a top manager. We are really lucky to have him. What he can’t do is magically turn average players into premier league stars overnight. It will take time to get things where we all want them to be but we need to be patient and trust Unai to get things right. This is the best chance we have got of competing effectively again.
duke313
The only positive I can take from the result yesterday, is that Emery should now know who he's keeping and who he's not.
Sulberto21
The culture of the club needs to match Unai’s ambition. The guy is a serial winner and has a body of work which means he’s elite. Already he’s talking about different attributes so he’s not taken long to understand how we need to improve. Funnily enough had we played like stoke we win. Rodders
I do wish he had been more strident in his condemnation of the performance, maybe it's the language barrier, and the lack of fluency he has, but didn't really get a sense of him being particularly angry. I like to think he actually was, but it didn't come across that way
The_Steve
Some players aren’t listening to his tactics or aren’t good enough to implement them. Can’t wait for him to swing the axe and get rid.

A good manager in any industry shows his disapproval and disappointment behind closed doors to the individual(s) and not in public. Yes us fans might feel better but not much and not enough to warrant doing it. Edited January 9, 2023 by nick76

He was definitely really annoyed, not just about yesterday but also Wolves. He specifically mentioned that the players did not follow the tactics and lacked crucial concentration. It’s worth a read if you get chance.

These players has barely played a game together before. There was poor chemistry all over the pitch. 2 or 3 changes I'd be fine with but 8 changes is idiotic. This it it. You can’t make 8 changes to a team and just because they look good on paper expect a good performance. 8 changes including players who’ve hardly played a game is asking for trouble. And I don’t think these players used in our full team would be an issue, but playing them together for the first time was just a massive mistake.

Seen a wild conspiracy theory on Twitter that some of the players who are "not involved in the project" long term might have sabotaged Emery by not following his instructions.
