I don't want anyone from that basket case of a club.... for fear of it being contagious. I would hope we could do better than Gray anyway!

Think your under rating how good gray is dont care where he comes from as long as he is goid enough

I'll give you he is decent, but I still want to be aiming higher, 3 goals and 0 assists this season

Yeah the stats not great but he is under a hopeless manager and poor team. Under this squad i think he could be awesome squad option

We need to try and sign better than what we have now, not equal it.

Where have these Harry Maguire links come from? We're favourites to sign him apparently.

Stuart Pearce thought is was a good idea and somehow grown legs in speculation…..all very bizarre!

Strange.  I don't think he'd be the worst signing, but not sure he'd be much of an upgrade on Mings.  Add to that his age and wages, probably not worth it.

I think if we are going to make a statement CB signing, they need to be in the 21-25 age bracket.  Someone in the Botman mould who can work alongside Mings/Carlos and eventually replace them.

Maguire is 1 more mistake away from becoming Phil Jones with a £190k/w salary. He looks terrified and broken when he plays now.

He was a decent player before joining United, you don't just become bad.  Obviously not able to handle the pressure or expectations at United, add to the fact United have been a shitshow for a decade now, would probably do well at the likes of Us, Newcastle or West Ham.

I think he'd be even more exposed.

I think that considering the price, the performances and the profile he would be far worse than Phil Jones.

It wouldn't be a choice between McKennie and Kamara, they play different positons, McKennie would no more be a threat to Kamara's place in the team than McGinn or Jacob Ramsey. If we did sign him the player most under threat would be McGinn. McKennie's a 'eight', at the moment we're playing with holding midfielders Luiz and Kamara, but if Emery wanted to play with two 'eights' in a particular game then McKennie or another eight, would give us another specialist option other Jacob and McGinn.

Probably just paper talk anyway, as will turn out to be the case with most of these links, midfield something that eventually might need looking at but I doubt it's a priority so we will probably wait until the summer.

But McKennie's not a good passer and that's what we really need in that position. McGinn is pretty decent when not under pressure but we could do with a player with better vision, quicker thinking and ice-cold veins.

New striker must be imminent if Archer to Boro is all but done and Ings is seemingly being offered to the bottom half.

I presume Ings will be involved tonight but otherwise a pretty weak bench if all the midfielders are out.

Perhaps we'll get one in by end of the week as we know by now transfers can be done in 48 hours with players who previously haven't been linked.

If we were looking for a younger player to upgrade what we have in McGinn, I think Yunus Musah would be an excellent fit in the Emery system. Him and JJ would fill that role adequately. He’d be a better choice than McKennie for me.

Not the right player type for me and I think we should be looking for a player in their prime with an extensive passing range. Not particularly realistic, but I'd love to sign someone like Tielemans.
