The referee helped out Spurs so much today. If only there was a referee watching cameras that could have an influence on the game
MachoFantastico
As much as I don't like Chelsea, Spurs were gifted a point by the officials. Shocking decisions, highlighting again how inefficient they are.

Wurzel
Bent isn't it? Both Spurs goals shouldn't have stood, if I was a Chelsea fan I would be livid.

OutByEaster? Posted August 14, 2022 Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2022 They should send both the managers back out to have a proper fight in the centre circle.
AshVilla
Some match fixing going on there. Pulled down by his hair in area doesn't count as a foul and a free kick? VAR has to be bent there is no other explanations. Edited August 14, 2022 by AshVilla
Genie
VAR seem to exist to keep the entertainment high. Its not just a big club bias.

MachoFantastico
At least we know you can pull a player down by his hair now and get away with it.

Apparently according to BeIn Sports, unless it's either a red card incident, or a foul in the lead up to the goal, VAR cannot intervene. Which in itself is a stupid rule. However, surely the ferocity of the hair pull surely could count as violent conduct?

Villaphan04
yep, the problem with VAR is it can only advise for red card offenses. They can't "re-referee" the game despite that being a clear foul
