Losing by 2 there in the same way we lost to relegated Watford the year before. Just inexcusable as a club to let that happen twice. We still finished 20 + points ahead of Watford even with them beating us later on in the season so I think Bournemouth will settle comfortably into 20th before too long unless they get serious new manager bounce. Leeds at least losing and fizzling out after beating Chelsea 3-0.

tinker Posted September 3, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2022 We have to put the defeats behind us and try and build something, hope we change the team today and not just play the same formation with different players. Try and stop city playing through the midfield. 2 DM's.

They did get a 0-0 at home to Wolves tbf so might be tricky to beat at home although Wolves did batter them. More worrying how little we created that day and just continued over last month and indeed most of Gerrard's reign.

VillaChris
Incredibly Bournemouth have actually picked up at least a point from the games they were expected to this season so looks like they'll be much more competitive than I gave them credit for. 7 points from 6 points ratio will certainly keep them up. Guess they might do what Burnley did after sacking Dyche and give this managerial team 10 or so games and perhaps get in experienced manager during world cup break. Looks pretty certain an established premier league team is going down this season, perhaps two. It simply can't be us.
