There’s gunna be some really rattled Villa fans if West Ham pull off the Todibo signing 😂

Carlos to Fulham or maybe we can tempt the Saudi’s into entering the bidding

Utd would never sell todibo to us as we are a direct rival. Ratcliffe wouldnt allow it

Yeah wasnt the same since injury sadly

How do we know how he was before the injury? Didn't he get injured in his second game for us?

Well i watched him alot at sevilla and he wasnt this version of carlos that we have. He was super quick,  very aggressive a nightmare and consistent cb to play against.  Havent seen any of that.

Was really excited when we signed him but just hasnt worked out

Apart from that one week in December last year where he was superb, the rest of his Villa career has been mostly shit unfortunately. Would be good if we can get 15/20 odd million for him.

Fulham have stepped up their interest in Diego Carlos, with the defender expected to leave Aston Villa before the transfer window shuts.

Carlos was not in the Villa squad for Wednesday night’s pre-season friendly win over Athletic Bilbao and is not believed to have been injured.

Villa are open to offers for the 31-year-old Brazilian, who has two years remaining on his contract, with Fulham among the clubs to be taking an interest.

Carlos is also on West Ham United’s list of potential replacements for Kurt Zouma, who is on the brink of joining Shabab Al-Ahli in Dubai.

But it is Fulham who are currently considered the frontrunners for Carlos after stepping up their initial interest.

Carlos was sent-off during a pre-season defeat to RB Leipzig on Villa’s tour of the United States and it remains to be seen if he will be involved against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Villa will almost certainly enter the market for a defender should Carlos leave and have a number of potential targets, including Dutch defender Lutsharel Geertruida and Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.

Both Geertruida and Gomez can play in the centre of defence and at full-back, which would give Villa head coach Unai Emery valuable options at the back.

Geertruida, a Dutch international, has one year remaining on his Feyenoord contract and has been linked with RB Leipzig already this summer.

Should Fulham land Carlos, then West Ham could rival Crystal Palace for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah, along with Maxence Lacroix, has been lined up as a potential replacement for Marc Guehi at Palace, but the Hammers could make an offer to take him on loan with the obligation or option to buy him permanently next summer.

Chelsea value Chalobah, who was left off the club’s United States tour, at £25 million and would rather sell him permanently this year.

Fulham intensify pursuit of Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos with West Ham also interested (telegraph.co.uk)

Says we're interested in Gomez or Geertruida to replace

Then a few games later 2-0 up at OT and passes straight to Manure player, they score and we go on to lose.

Him and Lenglet were rubbish as a combo against their onslaught, was a pre cursor to some of their poor displays in January and February.

Some CB combinations don't click for some reason and that was one of them. Would be amusing if Fulham sign Lenglet on loan in this window aswell.

If he leaves we're going to need to sign 2 CBs. Going to be a tough ask.

We get in a natural RB and that will mean Konsa won't be playing much there so think him, Pau and new CB will be o.k.

You would think. Except the reason our season didn't collapse last year is because we had a 5th choice CB in Lenglet. I don't want to risk it this season. We need 4 fully fit senior CBs and Mings going into the season

Monchi seems like a tough nut when it comes to negotiations - which is great provided this one doesn’t backfire and we’re left with Diego Carlos still!

It wouldn’t be disastrous though would it selling him cheap just to get ridd then signing an expensive replacement doesn’t make sense his fee needs to cover his replacement.
