I mean, just looking at the back end of last season when they were fighting for survival, they beat Sheff Utd, Burnley (both around them, both went down) and Fulham (13th) and drew with Wolves (14th), Luton (went down) and Palace (10th). The games they lost in that run were to us (4th), Liverpool (3rd), Brighton (11th), Spurs (5th), Everton (15th - although 10th on points gained), Man City (1st) and Chelsea (6th). Keep on forgetting Moreno is there, started yesterday so if he has a good season then we can get a decent fee for him end of the season. After two seasons of chaotic transfer strategy they've finally calmed down and realise you can improve more quickly by just signing 2-3 good players rather than four LBs in one window like they've done previously.
