And finally Gerrard realised we are a counter attacking team

Exactly this. Why has it taken him so long to play like this??

Ings plays better where he is of given those chances he scores. If that mean watkins has to play less centrally so be it

Do we have the luxury of £35m backup players while the centre of the pitch is such a **** state? And I doubt either of them are happy as anything but a first 11 regular. If we're going to sign him, we need to fit them both in the same lineup IMO.

So the rule is we should only have 1 quality/expensive player for each position, and cheap players on the bench.

How exactly do you think squads get stronger?

Let's leave all these hypothetical scenarios to the people who actually know what's going on and what is or isn't possible.

It's really heart - warming to see Aaron Lennon still playing after all his problems.

Lennon seems like a good egg, remember him from back in the day at Spurs when he was brilliant. Him and Gabby did this speed run advert thing for Nike years ago, must have been 06/07 time and he beat gabby. seems like he has been around forever tbh

I'm not sure it's such an outlandish idea to suggest we should be investing in players who get straight into our first 11 before we spend such an enormous amount on a backup player.

If we can afford to do both, great, but do you want to see Buendia or Countiho on the bench while we still have to start dross like McGinn in centre mid?
