I'm not sure it's such an outlandish idea to suggest we should be investing in players who get straight into our first 11 before we spend such an enormous amount on a backup player. If we can afford to do both, great, but do you want to see Buendia or Countiho on the bench while we still have to start dross like McGinn in centre mid?
