I could have told you from the moment it happened that we’d be in a position where we’d be struggling to move him on a couple of years later. It was a daft sum of money for a very average player. To be fair, he’s a fine player with amazing ability, but unfortunately he has the work ethic as someone on community service. He really can’t be arsed to do anything. What’s incredibly frustrating

Without unlimited investments by dictators and war criminals, no lucrative TV deals.

Say what you will about Traore but he's not average in any way. His talent is far above average and his productivity far below.

Even if we did play wingers, he was never going to be more than just an average player we wouldn’t be able to shift. We even signed Buendia/Bailey to take his place when we did play with wingers. You knew that already though.

KAZZAM
Arsenal might get Bissouma, Tielemens and Jesus. Would be huge improvements on what they have. And a huge blow to our aspiring ambitions. They spent alot last season so I do wonder where the money is coming from.

Not sure they will be so expensive, the first 2 are out of contract next summer and probably get Jesus 50-60 million They got Kolasinac, Willian, Aubameyang and Lacazette off the books and looking to sell Torreira, Leno, Saliba and Guendouzi who could probably bring in 70 million if they get rid of all

Think they will keep Saliba and the rest will be hard to sell minus Torreira who they will get £15 mill odd for. Marseille won't pay lots for Guendouzi. And Leno is just a GK so nobody gonna be paying big for him. Pepe is another huge write off.

Willian and Auba were on about 300k a week each, Lacazette probably not far behind and Kolasinac was a Bosman so probably on a big salary Guendouzi is rumoured to be 30million for somebody, plus him and Saliba are not in Arteta good books it seems. Torreira is wanted by some clubs, Leno they could get 8 million or so for, another on a huge contract for his talent
