Phil Silvers
How's England's No.1 goalkeeper looking, he needs quality like Maguire in front of him see, oh wait.
The_Rev
Remember that Everton were in form when we beat them 3-0 at VP? They won 4 of their first 6 games, they’ve won twice since.

maqroll
Liverpool Inter the pick of the CL games. Still pretty boring though.

Agreed it would do us a favour if Wolves implode but they should have too much for Everton. Draw is my guess.

a m ole
That Lewy touch - traps the ball from a cross and simultaneously manages to squeeze it with just enough power, backwards, to get the ball out his feet and away from the defender. One of the best I’ve ever seen as a centre forward.

JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Very good game here now between Pool and Inter. Outstanding strike from Martinez there. Game on. Edit: Maybe not, they are down to 10 right after scoring lol. Sanchez cleanly won the ball as well, terrible refereeing. He was wildly out of control, and while he won the ball, he was only able to do so by playing so recklessly he was hurtling through the air, studs first, and planted his studs into his opponent's ankle. Easy yellow card.
bobzy
Fulham now on 89 goals for the season with 11 games remaining. At current rate, they'll score 117 goals which is absolutely ridiculous . Similarly, Mitrovic up to 35 goals. He's already scored 5 more than any other player has managed in Championship history. 1

UpTheVilla26
Ref ruined that with the 2nd Sanchez card. No way is that a yellow, he kicked the ball, how's he meant to know Fabinho is going to run straight to where his foot will land? Inzaghi's subs were odd, I'd have lobbed Dzeko on when down to 10 and just lumped it for 20mins hoping something may happen.

Inzaghi is a very good manager but his weakness is his subs, cost him the derby a few weeks back

Couldn't disagree more, he takes both feet off the ground, leads with his studs, and they end up planted in an opponent. He tries to pull his leg back, but can't, because he's not in control. It's a textbook example of both reckless play, and of how "he got the ball" is bollocks. It's an incredibly naïve decision to fly in off the ground like that when already on a yellow, he got what he deserved, especially when he should have walked for a straight red instead of his first yellow

Too much is made of "studs" and too much emphasis is put on the reaction of the "fouled" player. Fabinho rolls around in pain and as soon as the red card is shown, he's helped up by TAA and walks away without even a limp. There's no excessive force, there's no recklessness. We need to accept that sometimes players will take knocks in challenges and stop this weird obsession with "studs showing". If it's excessive force, fine - it's actually dangerous but that challenge just isn't at all.
