MGW transfer fee is ludicrous. Am I missing something ?

Sounds like such a dodgy deal.

Maybe Wolves gave Forest the 44.5 million to buy him to improve their FFP headroom.

We should give Besiktas 80m so they can buy Sanson from us.

At least when we have our MLS affiliate they can make lots of record signings 😉

11 goals and 9 assists last season from 35 games aged 21.  Yes this was him playing up front for half a season but he does have real ability. Put it this way. Would we snap someones hands off if we werr given the same amount for Ramsey . Out of all the players they have bought he is the best one.

But he did it in the Championship in a year even Weiman got 22 goals. Seems very risky to me but maybe he is the real deal.

As for Ramsey, I think we’d have to if that kind of money was offered.

I agree and unfortunately with the injury to Carlos we are now only one quality player better in Kamara in the first XI than we were in the second half of last season when we were poor.

Said it before, if our only improvement this year is coming from Carlos and Kamara we’re already up sh** creek.

Need the gameplan to have improved, the players to be better at playing it, and improvement out of the players we already had last season to stand a chance.

BuY mOrE pLaYeRs just ain’t the solution here.

There has to be something dodgy going on with Forest. They’ve now broken our transfer record in their first season back, after spending £100m+ on other players beforehand.

Their owner looks like a stereotypical villain and based in the rumours, probably is one.

Tbf to Weimann, seems like he's genuinely improved as a player nowadays. Not like he was scoring bucketloads in the championship every season since he started playing there.

Amazing what can happen at a club that shows some ambition after saying they’ll be aggressive in the market in order to progress - Forest, Newcastle. of course with Forrest it’s going to be a case of waiting to see if it pays off.

It’s just a shame we appear to have given up on that approach despite managing to consolidate our position in the Premier league for three seasons now. No progress made for us this season. Own fault really.

Do you think Forest has a better squad than at this moment?

Newcastle have done utterly nothing other than having a decent run at the end of last season?

You're happy to assume that Forest and Newcastle will benefit from their transfer dealings (personally, aside from Guimaraes Newcastle's dealings have been bang average imo) but yet at the same time you write ours off and say "no progress made".

Btw, Newcastle improved last year not because of their signings, but because of their manager getting the best out of their existing squad with a few select improvements through signings such as Burn and Bruno. We need to make the best of our quality in order to improve, and not just expect our form to be sorted through masses and masses of signings.

Weimann was always a good player IMO
