Having done my ACL, I can tell you that there is a wide range of recovery periods, ranging from 6-18 months. A straight "clean" tear will be much shorter than anything that involves meniscus damage or strains to surrounding ligaments. There are also a multitude of repair "materials" that can be used - sometimes they will graft from another muscle (Hamstring for example), from the patella tendon or they can use cadaver (basically "spare parts" from a donor body). It's a patient-decision based on recommendation from the surgeon. Then there's the individual themselves on how quickly their body heals, rebuilds muscle etc etc. I think with our three players recently we've actually witnessed a complete array of the shortest, typical and longest recoveries... Kamara - faster, Buendia - typical, Mings - extended.

abdulaziz1
Great to see him back, hopefully he gets ready soon, although I prefer to wait as much as we can before starting him.
Popular Post sheepyvillian
A fit Kamara, what an asset. Just like McGrath, he is an absolute joy to watch when on point. Probably, my favourite player of this current Villa squad.
Popular Post carlitobrigante
A fit Kamara, with Onana & Tielemans...... and then Barkley in reserve. That's an insane collection of central midfielders as good as anything else in the league

I prefer your design, I'd like Kamara's range. I fear for us being exceedingly narrow in this kind of cover situation.

They are both better in midfield, wouldn’t want to move either. 1

So many likable skilled players.

You can't teach the gift of "Anticipation." Only the real top players possess that. If I had to choose a player out of our squad who is the most pleasing to the eye I would go with Kamara. Konsa would be my next choice, and a fit Jacob in full flight is a wonderful sight for sore eyes. Edited September 12 by sheepyvillian
