If we sign Bounou in next six months then that just signals Emi isn't going to be around much longer.

It will be easier if we're in europa in near future as then you have six group games to play with. Good example is Matt Turner. Played in europa and league cup for Arsenal and I was impressed with his level for US in world cup, Arsenal signed him for a few million in the summer. We dont have Europa games though. Captain clearing in the woods should have played Olsen vs Bolton but needed to play Emi to save his job He has had very little match practice

Liverpool have enough to beat us without us gifting them goals. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

People need to realise 2nd choice keepers are not top class keepers Bayern Munich have Sven Ulreich as No.2 and Real Madrid have Lunin and Olsen is probably better than both of them We were linked to Randolph in January and people threw a tantrum about that as well They still need to be able to do a job in the PL when called upon. Sheff Utd, a Championship team, couldn’t wait to get rid of him. If he ain’t could enough for them, he ain’t could enough for us.

Kingman
Thought there was a rule in place that clubs can sign goalkeeper cover outside of the window? Why not utilise this rule if it's to be in our advantage?

villaglint
I think Olsen for most teams would be a pretty competent back up. We had Mark Bunn as our no.2 at one point remember. However Olsen seems really unsure with the ball at his feet and Emerys system puts a bigger emphasis than most on goalkeepers to be part of playing out from the back. Its that bit that scares me most. We need to get Emi on the treadmill the second he walks through the door and sweat every last drop of alcohol out of him. smg
Bottom line is he has been designated as shit by many villa fans and there is nothing he can do to change that . Whatever happens in the future he is shit. However how did he fool all those qualified coaches throughout his youth and professional career that he had the skills to play professional football at International level when it is clearly obvious to so many Villa fans that he is useless.? useless
"Time to snap out of it and get with the program, we likely would have lost today with Martinez, if we lose it will be more than likely for the simple fact Liverpool much better players than us all over the pitch. Also Martinez one of the best goalkeepers in the world, how we could we expected our No.2, whoever he may be, to be anywere near as good."

Mantis
It's no coincidence that we ship at least 3 goals every time he plays. Even when he's not directly at fault, you can tell that he massively unnerves the defence.
