He's a plan B rather than a refresh of Plan A that we'd get with Moreno. I don't see us needing to refresh plan A (Maatsen) very often, but having a plan B will be beneficial from the start of some games, let alone during them. But him saying it probably means he's rejected the offer even if Villa did accept it.
