If it’s true that Coutinho is off to Qatar… it probably enhances Digne’s chances of staying…

He’s the more reliable and important of the two players too…

Was thinking about this. Given that they're both high-earners and not guaranteed starters, it would make sense to shift at least one of them. I think that of the two, it'd make more sense to sell Coutinho, given that Digne can be relied upon to be fit and play a lot more.

There is a lot to like about him going forward...he is a good footballer.

............but that goal by Tonali, still haunts me, with Lucas ball watching and not closing the man....Of course Kamara was as bad too, that day.

Needs to get tighter, when defending.

As far as defensive metrics last season  per 90 he is basically even with Moreno, except for aerial duels where he has a substantial advantage

couldn't give an f about stats.  watch him play it's obvious. he loses his man and pulls out of challenges all the time.

Bro has been taking the piss out of us for 2 seasons.

Has now seen the opportunity to triple his wages to 25 mill per week and turned into prime Everton Digne for Saudi Arabia.

...or maybe he finally has a solid run in the team under Emery for the first time ever?

He tops up his meagre wages with a £1m per assist bonus.

Or maybe we're the ones trying to push him out and get rid of him but he doesn't want to leave so he's doing his best to show villa his worth...

And surely that's working

Fair play to him, he has had a good week easily his best at the club regardless of opposition. Keeps this up he might have a future here

Still some defensive weaknesses in his game though, he probably could have done better with the goal

Not Lucas's biggest fan but also don't have blind hate for him.... He has been excellent last few starts and looking more settled and assured.

I'm starting to hope he doesn't leave as long as him and Moreno both embrace the competition.

Good, because I did not like the sound of replacing him with Nuno Tavares.

Yes indeed, that move would be like jumping out the frying pan and into a raging inferno doused in petrol...
