He played for them for 3 seasons and retired in 2001. That is a bit of a special case though as the Mets owner was involved in the Bernie Madoff scandal and Bonilla and his agent had him over a barrell to get about 5x what he was owed by the Mets. Will be interesting to see who Philippe decides to tap up when he next meets up with the Brazil squad, we have fingers in a few international pies now, Argentina, France, Poland, England and Scotland to name but a few.

Tayls
Happy with this. Would have been gutting to lose his personality from the squad. You can tell he is a decent, humble dude.
Popular Post TheAuthority Posted May 13, 2022 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted May 13, 2022 I remember Juninho almost happening, Sheringham almost happening, Gascoigne almost happening, being in for Lampard but I don't think it was ever close. This is the biggest signing I can ever remember.

This is the biggest signing I can ever remember. I agree 100% Ive been a Villa fan since the mid 90s and I can’t remember us ever making a signing of such magnitude. The next 4 years are looking to be quite exciting with NSWE, Gerrard and Little Phil. Potentially the start of something very very exciting for all of us. This season has been one of transition… Lots of sadness and disappointment early on… but we can look positively towards the summer break, a turnover in playing and coaching staff to how the owners and management want it, and a new season to look forward to… Up the Villa I **** love our club

We could be watching the World Cup final at the end of the year and the man running the show in midfield being ours! Totally unreal.

Worst one would be Juninho but Falcao and Cavani being put on a plate and MON getting Heskey leaves a bitter taste too.
