Been declining for a quite a few years now. But if anyone can inspire and motivate him it's Gerrard.

He's actually on £365k a week, which is why Barcelona want him off the wage bill on the cheap.

Popular Post KMitch
I'm still in complete shock that: We're even in the conversation with Coutinho to consider a move to us It's actually looking like it's going to happen All Villa fans aren't absolutely over the moon right now I remember the rumors of Martin O'Neill trying to sign Wesley Sneijder/Rafael Van Der Vaart and dreaming that we'd be able to have some pull for genuine world class players and crack into the top 4, but that never materialized and we lost our window to Champions League football. Almost 4 years ago we were on the brink of financial ruin thanks to Dr. Tony, but now we have the pull and financial might to sign a genuine world class talent, who was the 3rd most expensive player of all time, away from Barcelona... Our ownership isn't fooking around and will expect us to get into the Champions League within 3 seasons now, if they continue to invest like this. What a time to be a fan... MachoFantastico
Sky Sports reporting that two clubs are still in talks for Coutinho, make of that what you will considering the crap they write. But if I at to guess it'd be us and Newcastle for sure. Let's hope we get this one over the line, be a decent start to the window.
KMitch
Also, one more important point, if we sign Coutinho on a permanent deal and he finds his feet again, we have a bigger worldwide star to market that Grealish ever would be. The exposure and growth potential he brings to us from a merchandising/sponsorship standpoint is massive.
