In terms of OVER 40 points, only West Ham, with 42, have got relegated since the PL became 20 teams. That was in 2002/3.

Or did you mean a draw with Palace?
Made In Aston
The chances of going down are really slim now. Technically it is still possible, but with 40 points already on the board and potentially the whole bottom half of the table still not mathematically safe, I can't see it happening.

Not only that our goal difference is superior to all the others. It’s too close for my liking but zero chance we go down this season, too many poor teams below us. We’ll just end up mid bottom half of the table. Just a crap season!

useless
Everton wasn't always a long shot, before today they were quite rightfully favorites to go down after Burnley's recent run, and they're still far from safe yet. But today's result changes things and I'd now say Leeds are favorites to go down, next two for them are Arsenal and Chelsea, and then they're at home to Brighton who are one of the best away teams in the league and Leeds have poor recent record against them, and then away to Brentford another team that Leeds have a poor recent record against. Burnley's end to the season isn't exactly easy, they've still got to play Spurs away, and I know people like to be dramatic, but playing us twice is no guarantee of points, as we've shown that we're more than capable of beating midtable teams and below, final game of the season for them is Newcastle at home.
