Burnley do Worry me i have to say especially as they may now get a new manager bounce. They have several very winnable games and our 2 against them are critical. We must not lose both of those games. Two draws or A loss & win would be ok but two losses most definately not and a loss & a draw would not be good either. You can see up to 14 / 15 points for them from their remaining games if they hit a bit of form and that's without any "shocks" (Although would mean them doing the double over us of course)

If by some horrow story they did beat us twice we could be right in trouble.

Liverpool & Man City is almost definatley 0 points for us so that leaves Leicester (a) Palace at home (very tough as they are flying away from home whilst we are attrocious at home) and Norwich!

If all those games go to form we are looking at just the Norwich and Burnley games we would expect to get something from. So again IF we got 0 or 1 point from those we really could be in trouble as that would mean the likes of Everton, Newcastle & Leeds would naturally overtake us as they all have a couple of wins in them,

We won't go down this season.(we only need another point)

Next season could be squeaky bum time - if Gerrard gets all his old mates in and sells the ones (in his opinion) not good enough.

Really hope the club wakes up and pulls the plug on project Stevie - before he does too much damage.

Well I hope he gets his old mate Coutinho in.

Think Newcastle and Leeds will both finish above us. 16th is very much on the cards for this season, that is a disaster. Cant see us getting many more points,. Norwich and Watford are down, it is a toss up between Everton and Burnley, outside chance we might get dragged into it but would require Burnley and Everton to win the vast majority of their remaining games. Which I can't see happening.

But to finish 16th would be awful, don't want to see Gerrard here next season.

Yep not the 'strong second half of the season' Purslow promised after the winter transfer window.

We already have enough points to stay up. In no way is that good enough. And we'd have likely scored more points without the upheaval in November.

It has been total garbage. It is easy for the manager to blame to players, but here is an idea, how about changing the style of play, it's not working, we have some good players but they don't fit the Slippy G style of play.

So we are going to see another summer of huge upheaval as well as big losses on last seasons signing Bailey and Buendia (who both don't really fit with Steve)

We're not going down, of course, but it's astonishing to see we've lost more games than Newcastle, Leeds, Burnley, Palace, Southampton, Brentford & Brighton. If someone had of said that at the start of the season you'd be forgiven thinking we would be fighting relegation at this stage. What a dreadful season.

We're 500/1 to go down. There's a reason for that.

Of course, we may well end up finishing just 2 or 3 places above the relegation zone and that's obviously not good enough, but it's a separate issue from whether we're gonna go down (we're not).

Agreed.

Big decision for the club. Stevie G will feel emboldened to tell the powers that be "it's the players gimme £150m"

Where as some voices within the club will doubt that it can be so many of the players - some of which are actively sought by other PL clubs.

Burnley beat us twice and win their game in hand over us and they would only be three points behind. Probably unlikely but we need one more win to make absolutely certain.

No chance we are going down.

But given the fact both Newcastle and Leeds, who were at some points spoken about as clubs who should be really worried, could quite easily finish above us, is pretty terrible.

They didn't really fit before he came either......what style of play do you propose?

We do have some good players, but too many the same.

For my way of thinking....all the styles they have presented under 2 managers have failed too.

Whats the alternative?

If we don't sign right in the first place, its bound to have a knock on effect in to so many areas.

The stadium news in interesting and positive but on the whole this season has been a disaster and a wasted year and my general interest is going the way of the guy on the right.

I just don't believe in the current project sadly. But it would still take something extraordinary for us to get relegated this season. That it's still on the card says it all about this season thou.

well well.

The dreamers are dying. relegation is upon us. They say its the players, yet we have better players then Brentford and Brighton... Yet Brentford and Brighton can beat spurs, arsenal and chelsea. Its not the players its the manager. the tactics
