bcarpet Posted Thursday at 09:18 Share Posted Thursday at 09:18 (edited) it felt like the ground went silent when the champions league anthem played and then the last bit "the champions" was then roared! ender4 Posted Thursday at 12:00 Share Posted Thursday at 12:00 Whoever put all the flags out on each seat, can i just say a big well done and thank you. Who paid for all the flags? Is it Villa or a supporter group?
Milfner Posted Thursday at 12:05 Share Posted Thursday at 12:05 I've never seen the ground so full so early. Could've kicked off at 19:45 it was so packed.
LxYoungAVFC Posted Thursday at 14:26 Share Posted Thursday at 14:26 The club needs to address the issue with the microphones being placed too close to the away end or directed toward it. On TV, the Bayern fans sounded five times louder than they actually were. However, after watching various stadium vlogs, it's clear that while Bayern fans were loud, the microphone positioning exaggerated the effect. VillaJ100 Posted Thursday at 16:35 Share Posted Thursday at 16:35 As a lowly mortal without a season ticket I had no chance of going but even on TV there were people in the Trinity Lower on their feet chanting, I don't think I've seen that for a really long time

AndyM3000 Posted Thursday at 16:55 Share Posted Thursday at 16:55 It's going to take a KO game against Madrid to top that atmosphere and even then I am not sure it will. Being the first home game back and against ones of the biggest teams in world football, a lot of emotion involved in creating that noise last night. TDR V2 Posted Thursday at 17:03 Share Posted Thursday at 17:03 My head hurts, my throat hurts. I went mental when we beat City last season, turns out I have a whole other level of mental. I hope my lad appreciates these times, the noise when the teams came out was awesome. I think everyone in the ground was singing at the top of their voices. The brief replays I've watched sound similar, but being there can't be bettered.

nepal_villan Posted Thursday at 17:21 Share Posted Thursday at 17:21 Wasn't sure where to ask this - but anyone know what was with the scattering of a few Bayern fans on the other side of the [black] buffer in the DE Lower? Are those seats left empty to accommodate overflow or away fans accidentally sitting in home sections?

Doubt that's true but it was odd how empty it was.

blunther Posted Thursday at 18:42 Share Posted Thursday at 18:42 Just checked the stats and apparently averaged at 101db between 21:38.38 and 21:41.30 which I’m guessing is the celebration for the goal and subsequent whole ground singing!
