Looks like @a m ole was right

It all felt a bit weird at the time, I suppose we’ll never know the dynamic behind the scenes over the summer but you have to assume Lange has been making these personnel decisions. I’ve got my eye on his creepy little smile.

@Jas10 he's staying on mate! 😂🎉

🤣🤣🤣

Every chance he will be moved on once the new lads have settled in 😆 🤞  Otherwise, keep him in the background and tell him to shut it! 😆

Suggests it wasn’t Dean’s decision to bring him in (and overly exerting his influence…).

We’ll see.

Was never a fan… what the hell was he doing on the touchline so often? Stick to the training ground! Possibly undermining the manager. I didn’t like how much influence he was having and what he was turning us into… ugly comparisons to Stoke. We don’t need a long throw every bloody time! And our defending from set pieces went to shit.

Yes come to think Of it hardly seen Cutler on the sidelines like last season briefing players before coming on

I never understood why they had Cutler doing that anyway. Thought he was purely a GK coach.

There’s clearly been something not right about us this season and there are various theories as to what or who it is.

The seemingly high profile involvement of a specialist coach, I find baffling. Surely his role is on the training ground? The players should learn the various set piece routines, ours and to a large extent the likely scenarios of the opposition, at BMH. He shouldn’t be running around mid game telling them surely. The passing of the note was ridiculous and embarrassing. We’d be in stitches if another team did it against us.

I’m pretty sure he won’t be around long or if he is he will largely be kept at BMH. The guy will have a contract, the new manager has only just been appointed and there are lots of things to sort out. More important than a set piece coach anyway.

Not sure why people are getting their knickers in a twist about liking then not liking him.

We got a couple of goals from set pieces early on so people sat up.

Then we went match after match with constant long throws and over fancy free kicks leading to absolutely nothing, whilst looking dodgy as hell at defending set pieces.

What do people expect? To react like Danny Murphy to the couple of goals scored then start waxing lyrical after a barren spell with dozens of wasted opportunities?

We're merely reflecting on the evidence of our eyes.

I think the problem is trying to pull off a fancy routine at every attempt. You don't see NFL teams running trick plays every down. These plays work because they are unexpected and the opponents switch off thinking something routine is coming up. And anyways, sometimes sticking to the basics is enough for the reward, otherwise we would never see goals from set pieces in the first place.

The fact the lads were passing a note about as the opposition were about to take a corner was all I needed to see. That’s terrifying.

Absolutely crazy! Looks amateurish by any standards. No way this was Smith's idea/message and symbolic of the of the quick decline and power struggle on the touchline perhaps. This is worth repeating: just when we thought our legendarily comical set pieces couldn't get worse, in steps Austin MacPhee.

I feel this Dave....but not sure what it is....I have suspicions, but thats all they are.

The problem is, when you are losing, its hard to manage up, and eveyone wants to overrule you.....when you are winning they all crawl back in to their cave, and know their place.
