You're right with the injuries, but he doesn't fit us or this league. You can be good and still a waste :)

Lol this is true. But couldn’t you argue that for Buendia? Makes a lot of incredible plays but has a tendency to be wasteful at times.

Yes, I agree with that too. Not totally convinced with him either. They're both very lightweight. Buendia tries very hard though, I give him that.

He needs an open/counter attacking game where he can use his pace. Trying to break down a determined packed defence is not his strength. Not the right tool for the job today but that’s on the manager.

Honestly though...what pace? I've never seen him burn past anyone.

My comment was harsh he needs games and match sharpness and a new league and new system it's not easy....but this mythical pace thing needs to end.

Guys rusty you can clearly see it. He has played what 12 games for us? 5 starts is it? We need to be patient and let him get back to fitness

I agree, he’s definitely one who needs minutes and sustained fitness before we rush to judgment.

We've had so many inconsistent, ineffective wide players in recent years that they all blend into one for me now.

Bailey is most definitely another one. He will probably be quietly sold in the summer and like the others, I doubt we will even notice.

I got struck down for saying this 6 months ago.

Agree. Add to that the guy will need alot more game time to get some flow.

Doesnt look any worse than buendia did at the start of the season so might just need more time to settle in.

What’s this? Common sense? Sorry that doesn’t belong in this thread.

Elephant in the room, but, is he actually quick?

Im not even talking ‘really quick’, just ‘quick’.

He looks bang average pace wise to me (not taking away from his other qualities).

He’s really quick over 50 yards or so. Not sure about the first couple of steps.

This… odd sub that, not the game for him at all.

Totally wrong sub, but that ball from Ramsey was on a FOKIN plate

I actually thought today could've worked well for him....but on the left.

Watford's full backs seemed to give us space out wide and we just crossed from deep, rather than going around the sides of them.

Watkins' run and cross for Ings chance just after he came on was a tactic I think we could have used and Bailey on the left would have had some success at that rather than having to cut back each time to his left foot on the right.
