"Preparing"

What are we doing, counting out the cash in Purslow's office first?

Takes a long time to count 38 million pennies out.

Or

We could be playing

Music Video Jail GIF by Polyvinyl Records

So go to jail Rigo and do not get out as you have no bloody card lol.

How can we be getting mugged off if he comes in and does a fantastic job, this daft post is well just daft.

Again Judging Tammy before he's gotten chance to put a Villa shirt on.

Was you saying all this when he was playing for us in the championship, I bet you was singing or chanting his name.

I sware to god I do hope the club signs him just so he can put you lot to shame on all that your saying because some of it is just complete nonsense.

It should be more about what is good for Aston Villa and not about `shaming' other posters who have a different opinion to you.

Love Tammy and everything he did for our promotion season. I think some here are taking posters negative reaction to this transfer as some kind of slight on Tammy. I can't speak for everyone but I would say it definitely isn't that. I'm just looking this from a pure recruitment standpoint. At almost £40 million it isn't a good price.

When Iheanacho couldn't get a game with Man City, Leicester paid £25 million. Still a bit high but a much more reasonable sum. When Iheanacho left City he had 12 PL goals to his name. Tammy is currently at 21. So for 9 more goals we have to pay £15 million more. It's daft and really just bad business.

Tammy has 2 years left on his deal. If Chelsea want him off their books then we should be able to work out a far more advantageous deal than the one currently being tossed around the press.

Yeah that's not very accurate.

Romano and Evans in tier 2. I'd say preece is more reliable than them. As he doesn't try to bullshit rumours. Romano is basically a glorified villareport (and we all know how mcub shit he makes up) and Evans is definitely a donkey.

He can't play outside to a Premier League standard.

Mate, what do you think the guy fishing in the gif means?  I didn’t think anybody would actually take the bait.

i cant see many clubs who want him giving him that promise although i accept what you said

Me neither, a lower or mid-table Premier League team might do, although no player should be assured of a first team place, especially at a Premier League club, I include Sir Jack in that

I was thinking Hook Line and sinker.

So like it was an irrefutable point. Which I then refuted.

Has Tammy said he will only move if he’s guaranteed a first team spot? No

No I think it’s key to get but is it for Dean and co? Rumours are mixed.  My point though is it may not be because they have so many already in the club with Sanson, McGinn, Luiz and Ramsey, and none of them looking like they are being sold and they look like first teamers so adding a fifth player for two places seems unlikely as a major priority does it?

Its all about opinions Nick.....i see all those you mentioned as CM's or No 8's not No6's.

I do not see their skill set on par with Rice or Phillips as a random example...or Oriol Romeu/ward-Prowse.

its a specialist position, any general midfielder, won't do, unless its temporary and for a few games to fill in.

We need an orchestrator to galvanise and solidify the Midfield, not easy on the eye, but crucial, if we want to grind results out to finish in Europe.....A Whelan or a Jedinak, but a massive upgrade on them.

No it was a controversial comment that is done to get a rise out of people.  The gif just shows I know I’m doing that and was just fishing for a reply and don’t expect one because it was a joke.

I’m agreeing with you but seeing as we’ve played some of them in the No 6 position and don’t look like selling any of them it just makes it hard to see Dean seeing it as a priority.  I do though think it’s needed.

Players don’t make demands, it’s the manager that decides who plays

So what are you talking about.  My comment was based on your comments.

That's one of the Tammy issues

I would rather we put £40m to use in the midfield rather than line up with Luiz and McGinn as first choice

I'm aware it's not one or the other... But if we signed Tammy and no CM I'd be disappointed if I'm honest

Me too......I would like Tammy, I think he could play with Ollie......but I would be more encouraged with a top midfielder, who can boss the middle.

I want both really and a CAM......its just hard to know what is reasonable, in terms of budget.
