useless
Wycomble likely would have taken up one of the relegation spots next season in the Championships, Sunderland will have to strengthen to make sure they don't, but one good thing about them coming up is that they're more likely to finish above small heath.

El Zen
A former colloeague of mine, who happens to a very good bloke, is big Sunderland fan, so I’m kind of happy for him they’re going back up.

Neil's very experienced in the league and on a limited budget did a really good job at Preston so they've got the manager already in place which helps. useless
I imagine Sunderland will be relatively ambitious next season, as a League One club this season they were able to bring in the likes Roberts, Pritchard, and Clarke players probably too good for that level. With further smart player recruitment they should have a good chance of surviving comfortably. Result is bad news for teams likely to struggle in the championship next season, as they would have fancied their chances of finishing above Wycombe and maybe would have took it for granted that Wycombe would have taken a space in the bottom three, but not so much with Sunderland.
Guest
The look on the face of Alex Neil as the trophy got handed down from player to player was brilliant, a look of pride.

Them lot down road had already stated their preference for Wycombe to come up. Of course, it's too much to ask them sort their own shit out and not rely on others' cockups all the time. Ingram85
How was that Sunderland lad not sent off for second yellow? Thought they had VAR today? May have changed the game as well that early on in second half. Edited May 21, 2022 by Ingram85
Brumstopdogs
Yeah could have been a different match if Sunderland went down to 10 men. Overall, fair play to Sunderland in getting promoted and they've rewarded the masses of support they took with them to London.
