HeyAnty Posted Saturday at 18:58 Share Posted Saturday at 18:58 Give him benefit of doubt as hard to step up in first few games. But he has to cut out crosses. Thats defending 101. Never seems to do it
sne Posted Saturday at 18:58 Share Posted Saturday at 18:58 Another learning experience. But RB remains a weak spot for us. Hope Kosta gets a run in the CL.

LondonLax Posted Saturday at 19:04 Share Posted Saturday at 19:04 It was not as tough a match as last week. Hopefully he can take some confidence from it in his development.
DeepDish Posted Saturday at 19:05 Share Posted Saturday at 19:05 I think he was decent today, considering his age and experience. Not as good as Digne and Konsa, but on par with Pau, who I was very disappointed with.

He's a talent. I just feel he's a big standout weakness for our opponents to attack. He can beat easily. Doesn't have the pace to be a full back Edited Saturday at 19:07 by Pongo Waring
Andy_10 Posted Saturday at 19:09 Share Posted Saturday at 19:09 I thought he played pretty well, but had a few rawness youth player moments that are going to happen. Very composed passing, but not as strong in the defensive side, especially helping give support to the CBs. But he will learn & be polished with every game. Today was a good outing for him. pete101 Posted Saturday at 19:18 Share Posted Saturday at 19:18 He had Ndiaye up against him most of the game a kept him reasonably quiet, the problems seem to be coming down the middle, Think Unai will be happy with his performance.
Vive_La_Villa Posted Saturday at 19:25 Share Posted Saturday at 19:25 Thought he was fine. It's nice to see youngsters get a chance and not binned off after one game. He'll keep getting better.

grantholtgolazo Posted Saturday at 19:30 Share Posted Saturday at 19:30 Impressive really when taken in context of a young player coming into a champions league level side. Unai has identified something in him and I don’t think he’ll feel let down by the young man’s performances. Looking forward to seeing more of his skillset as he gains experience.

We have an international right back sat on the bench but apparently because he's only 18 it might be a problem ? Ridiculous. I actually like Bogarde but give the kid a chance, he's never a right back in a million years.
Tomaszk Posted Saturday at 19:33 Share Posted Saturday at 19:33 You see the logic, sort of. He's very composed and technical. Emery just trusts him with the ball over Ned. First half that ball dropping to him from a corner, ripe for a shit volley over the bar. Brings it down in no space at all, turns, passes it. Not many of our players would have handled it that well. Infuriating watching him not move into the space on the RW, but clearly that's what he's been told. Always the same with Cash and Konsa. He was OK today. Which is a good level for a 20 year old playing out of position.
Rodders Posted Saturday at 19:37 Share Posted Saturday at 19:37 He's obviously been told to keep it simple and that's fine but it does mean we overload.our left hand side when it comes to attacking a bit too much. But he was solid.

Respectfully, as I’m unfamiliar with how many trophys you have on the shelf, I’ll defer to Emery’s judgement. It’s working pretty well for us so far.
