Kuwabatake Sanjuro
I wonder will we ever see him at right back, he has all the attributes to play there in the Emery system, apart from experience.

If only he was capable of coaching and buying players from a wider scouting range then we might have made a breakthrough. Seriously though Konsa played a bit in central midfield back in his Charlton days. Bogarde's skillset can be comparable if he continues to develop and it might solve a depth issue if Cash gets injured.

I'm pretty sure O'Neill wasn't light years ahead of anyone at anything apart from being a monumental word removed [Haha: MON u mental word removed]. Probably only played NRC or whoever at RB because he'd bombed a load of other players out. Edited August 21 by fightoffyour
Monkeypuzzle
He's now listed as a defender rather than a midfielder on the club website. Make of that what you will. 3
Xela
Can play CB, can play DM. He's Dutch. Stick him at RB and he's basically Geertruida!

Jareth
This is really quite significant. If Emery rates Bogarde in that role then looks like we have the squad we need after all. Might not be the most experienced in that position but we know what Unai can do for players who want to learn from him.

We know Emery didn't really rate Chambers, but last season he played centre back, right back, holding midfield at various stages and finished it almost as a number 10 pressing MacAllister! It's clear that Emery loves versatility in that final man in the squad role. Better to have 1 player make 10 appearances than keep 3 players around to play 3 each. Bogarde has been given that role until January at least.
