Football Insider revealed on 23 June that Bogarde was the subject of significant interest by Forest and that the club were hoping to strike a deal with Villa by the end of the month, when clubs must declare their accounts to fall in line with PSR. It is believed talks are advancing ahead of Sunday’s accounting cut-off. The 20-year-old has only made one senior appearance for his current club to date which came in the FA Cup against Liverpool aged just 16, but played 35 times across two recent loan spells with Bristol Rovers in League One to gain valuable senior experience. A pity if he leaves, but he’d be a sap not to move there IMO. Might have a chance of logging some first team minutes.
