Oh no, that's a bit personal. We put them on a few times I think and it was only just before Xmas that a friend reminded me of a rather drunken after gig session we had with them. We ended up in a pub called The Grapes (Now called The Dispensary) that was run by a nutter called Marc and his equally nutty mother Margie, they clearly ran a pub because they were alcoholics. Anywhooo, this was in the days of pubs shutting at 11 and clubs at 2 but The Grapes didn't really respect the licensing laws, as long as you knew the knock for the window. We quite regularly ended up in there after gigs with a band, there or a club called Macmillans, depended on the band. TMTCH were definitely a Grapes band, serious drinkers. The Grapes was perfect. Marc didn't give a shit who anyone was as long as they could drink. Now TMTCH weren't exactly known for their early to bed Christian ways anyway so it was a perfect match. I don't remember much about in the pub itself apart from everyone having a good time, lots of drinking and conversation ( I do seem to remember a chat about our Village in Wales and the Crawshaw family and Ironworks) It was starting to get light, so we decided it was time for bed. My mate Mike and I were heading in the same direction and as it turned out, so were the band, so we jumped a couple of Cabs to Sefton Park. The band were staying in a Hotel that was just up the road from my flat, they invited us in for a nightcap and we duly crawled in to one of their rooms and carried on drinking, I don'ty think any of us lasted long and we probably all collapsed. About 10am there was a sudden panic, the Tour Manager starts waking everyone up because he can't find two of the band. Me and Mike decide its time to slope off during the mayhem and out of the Hotel we go.... only to find the two missing members of the band asleep in the bushes at the front of the Hotel, they never actually made it inside, so we duly woke them up and crawled home to our respective pits Anyhow, the one that always meant a lot to me....

When you total up the correct results, and ignore the ridiculous point-splitting when one corpse is chosen multiple times, my 4 out of five is clearly the victorious number. Eye thank ewe. veloman
Was going to mention Chick Corea. His fusion band of the early 70's (Return to Forever) was packed with ace musos. It featured the great Stanley Clarke, probably on of the best bass players ever and an early "slapper" - first I saw to use a Kramer bass. Ace drummer Lenny White; listen to his version of Lady Madonna (a Beatles number !!!). Don't think we will see the likes of Mr Corea again. Saw them on OGWT - amazing !
