samjp26
I imagine Traore would be getting subbed off at around 70 mins anyway due to him still just getting up to fitness. He's just gone off earlier than expected IMO.
maqroll
Hang on and try to hit them on the counterattack. Glad we have Martinez
StefanAVFC Posted December 26, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted December 26, 2020 No idea why Mings didnt fall over when Zaha fouled him. Stupid stupid stupid Hope Zaha leaves the game, injured or red, dont mind.
Farlz
We seemingly cant put away our chances again so we're gonna need an almight Martinez masterclass in that second half now
VillaAlex
Mings was an idiot can't complain really. We should have taken more of our chances, now we need to hold on.

If that were actually the case he'd gave been sent off immediately. It's obvious he's only been booked because of the weird decision that referees always seem to make where they book both players involved in a commotion even if one hasn't really done anything. Silly from Mings while already booked but it shouldn't even have had the possibility of happening. Edited December 26, 2020 by Indigo

Are we looking for an out for Mings. Really. He knew he was on a yellow. You move on from it. If you've got it you get on with it and be careful. He needs to take ownership. He's a tool.
One For The Road
If we can hold on, it might just have done us a favour for the Chelsea game with a fitter Konsa and Traore. A lot of ifs in that though.

No complaints about a 2nd yellow. Ming's was having a poor afternoon a few unforced errors ....edit 2nd yellow confirmed.

VillaJ100
The first wasn't a yellow and arguably Zaha should have been sent off for his reaction. But that second, its so blatant it almost looks like he's got a bet on. So annoying as we were cruising and Palace didn't look like scoring. Got it all to do now Edited December 26, 2020 by VillaJ100
The_Steve
The concern is simple: once again Mings has allowed himself to get wound up; first it was Bamford and now Zaha. He should know better.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, if you know he won't last the 90s mins then do it now, need him for Chelsea
Dave-R
The problem with Mings is Mings knew full well Zaha would out accelerate him so he did all he could do and put the brakes on the situation. What I do not understand in Mings head is why go that far up the flipping pitch if you know full well you cant match players speeds when there is a chase on to defend our goal and help Martinez out. cyrusr Posted December 26, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted December 26, 2020 Think Smith has taken Traore off so he is fresher for Chelsea. 2nd yellow definite but 1st one was caused by Zahas massive over reaction. Shame. Glad we have Konsa to come on though.
villalad21
We'll lose this now unless Martinez bail us out again All because of Mings Edited December 26, 2020 by villalad21

TDR V2
Mings loses it sometimes, red mist moment. Shame for Traore... We'll see now if we are any good at hanging on or if it will still be all guns forward going for 4-
