Are the rules quite strict on it being youngsters? Is there no allowance for older players at all? Do we have any young first teamers who would qualify? (Ramsey, Jaden, Roger’s?).

Think you can have 3 overage players but is a chance we are playing a Champions League game the same night as the semi final and the final is usually on a Sunday

We're highly unlikely to play these in EFL Trophy, as we will field weakened line-ups, before it gets to that, as always happens with PL teams in the latter stages of the competition, they're not there to win it, its just about giving academy players a few games against first team opposition
We already saw that with the team that played Bolton, five sixteen year olds in the starting line-up, another who only just turned seventeen, they hadn't even played for our U21s before, then a few slightly older ones who also haven't much U21 experience because of injuries, we woudn't have been expecting a result with that team, and showed progressing wasn't  of importance

Broggio, Young. and Rowe, the only players missing because of international duty, the likes of Patterson, Swinkels, Bogarde, Pierre, Kane Taylor, Hemmings Jimoh-Aloba, Khedr, Cotcher, and others all availabe, but weren't involved, we could have played a much stronger team if we wanted

We used the game to give high potential first year scholars an opportunity to play first team opposition much earlier than they normally would, wouldn't have been expecting a result, but would have been seen as good development opportunity for them

We might not field such a team again this season in the tourrnament, but will be weakened to a degree, as being a competition that's an opportunity for lower league clubs to play at Wembley, it's seen as maybe against the spirit of things for PL clubs to progress past a certain point, from the team we put out against Bolton, we obviously weren't even bothered about reaching the knock-out stages

So it's highly unlikely it gets to the stage where we have to play these, which I think can only happen in semi-final, only one academy as got that far in the tournament, in part because they won't be trying to

3rd Division and Leyland DAF cup mate, 250,000 Blues at Wembley, another 300k in all the pubs in town packed to the rafters, no vile (not allowed) JLR shut for five days, no one left to do the shifts, Taity with his SOTV shirt, proppa Blues Taity. Proppa day out and proppa cup double unlike Vile

Ah Paul Tait, such an ardent nose that I read yesterday he was involved in ‘discovering’ Morgan Rogers and recommended him to WBA because he felt he’d get more out of being there than at the Sty academy 🤣

It is a no win situation for us.

If we beat their 16 and 17 years old they will just say it is theie babbies. If we lose we won't stop hearing from the DVB's.

Would play our kids against them and play em of fhe park.

Still think we can do the double and bring back another two trophies to the proppa team from brum.

Can imagine the celebrations in town afterwards. KRO

Love the logic there.

Our babies could beat SHA first team so play their kids instead because they could win.

Deluded.

"Another two trophies"? Do they even have two? Not that the bondage trophy or the League One Play-Off final would really count as trophies...
