All i have heard today from the plumb in the office. Said in 4 years time they will be pushing the CL while we are fighting to stay in the league, because we have no money and will need to sell Martinez, Watkins, Rodgers, Bailey etc (he then listed some of our youth players saying they were rubbish) I was like you should go on mastermind with the specialist subject of Aston Villa as you can name more of the 1st team of Villa than i can of any of the in your team.... then the best bit, Blues would do Villa on and off the pitch And you didn't walk off shaking your head and laughing uncontrollably because? I mean, you could wait four years and then ask him about his predictions, but frankly, the chance of a nose holding down a job for that long is very slim. DaveAV1 Posted yesterday at 15:52 Share Posted yesterday at 15:52 (edited) Many years ago I read a news paper article, sorry I can’t remember the paper or the journalist but basically it out lined all the many reasons, of which there was a lot, why Small Heath would never be able to catch up with the Villa. This goes back to the halcyon days before Sky invented football for us all and so the gap is now considerably bigger than it was then, I hope they never disappear completely, or who would we have to laugh at and besides I’ve got friends and family who are noses and I’d prefer a Brummy Blue Nose to a Brummy red any day. UTV!!!!! P.S. or whatever colour of Manc they’re currently wearing. Where were you when you were red??? Edited 23 hours ago by DaveAV1

It's a special kind of delusion to get enjoyment out of playing in league one, and thinking that playing in the Champions League isn't worth enjoying. Imagine thinking that we even care that Beckham went to watch them or what he thinks. So many of their fans genuinely believe they're back and coming for us. They might get promoted (probably should with what they've spent) but they're going to struggle to meet Championship PSR requirements with the journeymen theyve got olaying their last contract, and the salaries they've dished out. JoshVilla
I know it's easy for them to get carried away once they finally start winning games after being absolutely dog shit for the past god knows how many years, but it's as though they're completely forgetting that they're in the **** third division. Not to mention that it's still very early in the season and there's no guarantee that they're going to be able to keep this form up.

This is not unique to Blues fans. Remember how excited Wolves and Baggies got when they started to improve? We are the benchmark around here always have been always will be.The other teams have to recall eras. Wolves 50s Baggies 70s Blues?? Maybe early 2000s But us…,we are always better than them even when we aren’t doing so well.
