MrBlack Posted Tuesday at 07:50 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:50 Shame Wrexham capitulated. The second I stopped watching the blues started dominating. I'm not willing to watch any more of their crap footbal to see if it's related though. The standard in the league is atrocious, glad they've found the level where they can compete. And I still have not seen a Wrexham jersey in real life here, it's the strangest thing. It's a reality show, but I don't think it's moving a needle here. Nobody is going out of their way to subscribe to League One team broadcasts. I get the notion of "Let's watch this famous person try to build something great" but this could also be a show about Reynolds building a gin company, or Clooney's tequila company, or whatever. It's a sideshow piece, a way to see someone famous for one thing try to do a completely different thing. Like "Undercover Boss" almost. I understand it a little more with Wrexham because of the narrative that they have concocted for the documentary, but from Small Heaths perspective, they have a bloke who has a whole 3p (three pence) worth of shares who is using them to sell some nonsense tonic after defending his ex partner when he stole $18M from some quackery concoction that he faked documents to fraudulently claim cured cancer. Who in their right mind is going to trust someone who is being a snake oil salesman after defending another snake oil salesman being found out for being a snake oil salesman? The only thing missing is Brady turning up outside the stadium with a little cart full of potion bottles & his ex partner in the crowd claiming it fixed his impotence, bad BO & awful breath in one shot. But people in the media are taking him & his three pence worth of shares seriously because he used to be good at another sport, albeit being found out to have been a cheat at that too. All i have heard today from the plumb in the office. Said in 4 years time they will be pushing the CL while we are fighting to stay in the league, because we have no money and will need to sell Martinez, Watkins, Rodgers, Bailey etc (he then listed some of our youth players saying they were rubbish) I was like you should go on mastermind with the specialist subject of Aston Villa as you can name more of the 1st team of Villa than i can of any of the in your team.... then the best bit, Blues would do Villa on and off the pitch

Granted, their new owners have spent a bit in League 1, but at some point, FFP/PSR, or whatever they are calling it this week, will bitch slap them back into oblivion. 1

They try so hard to shoehorn any kind of reference to their mangy club even in these sad circumstances.
