Our board is littered with people commenting on the personal wealth of Edens and Sawiris as well as how much Comcast is worth (because they own Atairos). There is a slight difference that Nas and Wes are both very rich people with personal wealth, whilst the $13bn quoted about Knighthead is only their assets under management. They don't actually own the assets or the money. If they build a super stadium with those funds, it's owned by the people that have invested in them, rather than knighthead themselves. In either case, whether they have multiple billions or only hundreds of millions is kind of irrelevant because the rules prevent them spending that money on players.

HanoiVillan
1 hour ago, MrBlack said: There is a slight difference that Nas and Wes are both very rich people with personal wealth This bit is true, but @bobzy is right that several people on this forum have been claiming that Comcast's market capitalisation is in some way relevant to what Villa have available to spend. There was also someone counting Blackrock and Fidelity's wealth because they own a chunk of Comcast, apparently unaware that this is because of bog-standard index funds. Unfortunately a lot of people just don't understand basic financial stuff.

He's an Aussie though so I'm not sure it counts. Around 60% of their dialogue is Mate, said in various tones to convey different meanings, and 35% is the most creative profanity on the planet. In short, one of the best dialects on earth. When a Blues supporter says 'Mate', it's just a pause while they wait for the monkey in their brain to stop banging cymbals. 1

delboy54
Always amazes me how incompetent managers/directors/CEO's etc of any industry can continually get fired, or jump before they get found out, and end up in an equally senior well paid job at another company. E.g. Wayne Rooney and Paula Vennells etc

Demitri_C
It atill amazes me how th blose fans fall for this PR bullshit from wagner the rocket polisher. The owners who usually make it about themselves and over promise with fancy words and presentations are the ones you are most sceptical of.
