Popular Post skarroki Posted Wednesday at 11:26 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 11:26 I'm sure going out to Nice, it not going well and then ending up unemployed in his 20's when he used to be touted as the next big thing would have really rattled him, been a massive wake-up call. He then had the perfect scenario unfold where Rob Edwards was the one to reach out and offer him a deal, get him grounded and back to basics, just playing the game week in week out, no drama, no expectation. He comes back now not as a massive statement signing like he was, but a player who's starting to prove his career isn't over. He's got all the physical and mental attributes and he's coming into the best coaching setup he could possibly wish for. Everything's set up for him to succeed and he seems like he's desperate to do just that. I'm really rooting for him and hope he plays his part in another memorable season for us.
Tomaszk Posted Wednesday at 11:31 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:31 Don't think I've been as confident over an overall signing being a success since Watkins. He's cost £5m. If he plays 30 games and is OK, that's an incredible for £5m! I think he'll be pretty good as well.
Popular Post troon_villan Posted Wednesday at 11:41 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 11:41 Imagine he scored a hat-trick every game. That would be 114 league goals. That would have to be some kind of record?

I'm not confident about him at all, this guy had 1 good season in last 6 years or so. We might be able to keep him fit/motivated for 1 season out of 3 if we lucky. Happy to be proven wrong by him. You do but he'll be a long way off the top earners. If everyone stays fit he'll play over double the mins of Digne and Carlos and they'll be on much more than him. Gerrard waste. He's being paid a wage? I wish I knew this sooner, I'm going to have to think about this.

Massive transfer fee, massive wages. Far too much for the level he's at. Signings like him and Carlos, and to and extent Diaby kill us. Our big buys and big earners have to be key parts of the best XI.
