It's Your Round Posted Wednesday at 22:42 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:42 Outstanding performance tonight, he was so tenacious throughout and battled hard all game. Was 100% better on the left… was that because he’d settled by then? Or does it just suit his game more?

Not the Diaby upgrade people were claiming when he signed Diaby couldn't do what Philogene did tonight. Right wing, left wing, right wing, defence, attack, discipline. Team player.

Pongo Waring Posted Wednesday at 23:01 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:01 With Bailey off form and Ramsey and Mcginn injured. His time to shine!

MaVilla Posted Wednesday at 23:02 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:02 would love to see him on the left, with maatsen at LB, Jaden cutting inside with Maatsen ovelapping, or maatsen dragging the left side around with Jaden being a nuisance. i think they could cause some trouble on the left together.

That's unfair, Dawkins was never really allowed his chance to shine 1

Follyfoot Posted Wednesday at 23:31 VT Supporter Share Posted Wednesday at 23:31 Tonight will do his career the world of good. He obviously has always had the quality and he can take a lot of belief from this evening. Definitely want to watch.

Clearly picked him because he was better without the ball that Bailey and he showed it. Superb showing defensively. Bailey clearly injured, but brilliant from JP. abdulaziz1 Posted Wednesday at 23:42 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:42 I think his performance today shows people that a player is good wherever he came from. People just said he was bad on Sunday despite whole tram being bad and circumstances we were in, add to that the little time he have to shine. Against Bayern it’s totally difficult no one will expect from him much attack, while Unai giving him a huge chance which give him more belief. Rogers already one of the first name in the team sheet, people used to say he’s for the future. This season we need those young players to up their game, they’re our squad. All teams have much known bench, for us they’re start on the making. We used to have a kid striker backup, now all the football world saying he’s the best bench, looking like a world class in the making. If Jaden, Kosta, Bogarde, Swinkles fulfilled their potential and showed their quality, our bench will look much much stronger. They’re improving.
grantholtgolazo Posted Thursday at 00:15 Share Posted Thursday at 00:15 Massive performance. So proud of him for stepping up and living up to the role he’s assigned. We certainly shouldn’t need it but another credit to Unai’s vision for our personnel. Hopefully Jaden is walking on clouds tonight
Indigo Posted Thursday at 00:23 Share Posted Thursday at 00:23 Some of the shite he got last week was ridiculous but not at all surprising, despite his limited minutes that's just how football goes now. He had a poor cameo in a game the whole team was off the boil in and was already getting labelled as not good enough by some. He evidently has a lot of ability but understandably just hasn't put it all together yet at the highest level, but also has an excellent defensive work rate that largely goes under the radar. In a weird way because of that he's almost more suited to games like tonight for now because of that, because you can trust him to work hard and he'll largely get more space to work in going forward. A good sign of things to come from him.
Leeroy Posted Thursday at 01:56 Share Posted Thursday at 01:56 Sounds like he played well against Bayern, good to hear. Hope he keeps it up because he might get more chances now with Ramsey, McGinn and possibly Bailey out.

Zhan_Zhuang Posted Thursday at 04:04 Share Posted Thursday at 04:04 Impressed with Jaden... A threat going forward he has skill and pace and he helped out in defence at times. Just what Villa need with him coming into the team with McGinn and Ramsey both injured.
Delphinho123 Posted Thursday at 05:04 Share Posted Thursday at 05:04 He has a very good chance of making that spot on the left side of midfield his own. Like others have said, Philogene and Maatsen could cause teams some real problems down that left flank (if we ever get to see it).
Colin79 Posted Thursday at 05:37 Share Posted Thursday at 05:37 Said before, his defensive work is fantastic. Some wingers will track back to close space but don’t really want to engage, this kid gets stuck in. Also impressed with his game management, he knows when to drive and when to keep it simple. That’s a great trait in someone so young
