Outstanding performance tonight, he was so tenacious throughout and battled hard all game. Was 100% better on the left… was that because he’d settled by then? Or does it just suit his game more?

i think he plays better off the left, yeah.

seems more comfortable cutting in on his right (from the left), than going outside on the right, or inside to the left on his right.

maybe with Ramsey picking up a knock, he can have a pop on the left.

would love to see him on the left, with maatsen at LB, Jaden cutting inside with Maatsen ovelapping, or maatsen dragging the left side around with Jaden being a nuisance.

i think they could cause some trouble on the left together.

Absolutely brilliant tonight.

Master stroke from Emery. Clearly picked him because he was better without the ball that Bailey and he showed it.

Superb showing defensively.

Bailey clearly injured, but brilliant from JP.

I think his performance today shows people that a player is good wherever he came from. People just said he was bad on Sunday despite whole tram being bad and circumstances we were in, add to that the little time he have to shine. Against Bayern it’s totally difficult no one will expect from him much attack, while Unai giving him a huge chance which give him more belief.

Rogers already one of the first name in the team sheet, people used to say he’s for the future.
This season we need those young players to up their game, they’re our squad. All teams have much known bench, for us they’re start on the making.
We used to have a kid striker backup, now all the football world saying he’s the best bench, looking like a world class in the making.
If Jaden, Kosta, Bogarde, Swinkles fulfilled their potential and showed their quality, our bench will look much much stronger. They’re improving.

Some of the shite he got last week was ridiculous but not at all surprising, despite his limited minutes that's just how football goes now. He had a poor cameo in a game the whole team was off the boil in and was already getting labelled as not good enough by some.

He evidently has a lot of ability but understandably just hasn't put it all together yet at the highest level, but also has an excellent defensive work rate that largely goes under the radar. In a weird way because of that he's almost more suited to games like tonight for now because of that, because you can trust him to work hard and he'll largely get more space to work in going forward. A good sign of things to come from him.

Said before, his defensive work is fantastic. Some wingers will track back to close space but don’t really want to engage, this kid gets stuck in.

Also impressed with his game management, he knows when to drive and when to keep it simple. That’s a great trait in someone so young
