CarryOnVilla Posted Wednesday at 21:43 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:43 Fantastic stuff tonight. Think I like him on the left more than the right.
HalfTimePost Posted Wednesday at 21:45 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:45 Fairplay. I wasn't sure he had it in him. Big performance. Should be on the left more often though
villa89 Posted Wednesday at 21:47 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:47 Thought he was MOTM. Did very well in a top level CL game.

The_Steve Posted Wednesday at 21:52 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:52 What a test to ace tonight. Saw a lot more to his game tonight. I can see why Unai was so keen to bring him back.

I think that much like Watkins, his skillset lends itself more to being a starter than an impact sub - he does a huge amount of work off the ball and defensively and that is felt and appreciated throughout the game and helps him grow in confidence.
NorthEastVillan Posted Wednesday at 21:57 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:57 Now to show that consistently. Obviously what Unai saw from him in training. If he can up his levels like that he'll be a great squad player for us.
Stevo985 Posted Wednesday at 21:58 VT Supporter Share Posted Wednesday at 21:58 Absolutely brilliant tonight. Master stroke from Emery. Clearly picked him because he was better without the ball that Bailey and he showed it. Superb showing defensively.

Defensively immense and technically he has such quick feet and actually beat alphonso Davies in a 1v1 which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Consistency will be the thing for him.
blunther Posted Wednesday at 22:11 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:11 Came on the other day to say how I haven’t seen much in his sub appearances but **** he’ll the kid stepped up today. Massive game for him, delighted.
bose Posted Wednesday at 22:12 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:12 Welcome Jaden. Brilliant display, he’s got the confidence now to continue. What a performance!
UpTheVilla26 Posted Wednesday at 22:12 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:12 MOTM for me. He was flawless and his defensive work was brilliant. This could be the making of the kid, I'd start him ahead of Bailey at the moment, who is either not fit or struggling for form.
Zero7 Posted Wednesday at 22:13 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:13 Was amazing, especially when he was moved out to the left wing.
mikeyp102 Posted Wednesday at 22:16 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:16 Defensively brilliant, off the ball worked so hard. On the ball, grew into the game, kept it simple when needed, but also had a couple of runs (when on the left, rightfully on the right didn’t try to do Davis for pace). TomC Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:21 I'm thankful that someone pointed out his defensive qualities before the match, because I watched for them and liked what I saw. I had always thought of him as a winger/attacking midfielder, but he looked a little like McGinn in putting in the defensive work even when playing further forward.
Delphinho123 Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Now’s his chance. Can’t help but feel he’s a better footballer than Ramsey technically.
rbcuk Posted Wednesday at 22:23 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:23 Superb from him, 1st half was always helping Konsa at right back until Bailey come on, hopefully starts again Sunday
duke313 Posted Wednesday at 22:29 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:29 Might start on the left at the weekend with Ramsey off injured.
