Ollie Watkins

Absolute quality. Gutted for him, hopefully under a new England manger who understands how football is played in the 21st century he’ll get a chance to stake his claim. In this tournament, he’s just another superb player falling victim to Southgate ball.

For now though, the Champions League under a serious a manager awaits.

Crazy to think we've got 2 weeks until we play our first game in the pre-season tour of America. Not even sure him, Ezri and Emi will be back for any of that.

Not overly sure that they need to be back for it. That’s our main core right there. They’ll slot in just fine.

Walker was player of the first half imo and then within 2 minutes of the 2nd it all went to shit.

Spain capitalized on him coming forward and/or he was coached to collapse into central defense. Stunning.

It was his ridiculous decision to throw the ball back towards the other end of the pitch that cost us the momentum we had had for the last 10 minutes. From that moment we lost all control of possession. This tournament proved that Walker, along with Kane, are no longer the answers for the national side.

As good as Ollie is and has been, that first - touch is still, at times, his achilles  - heel.

Shouldn't be using that part of his foot for first touch unless cheeky back heel

Criminal he didn't start

Can't agree. I don't think there is a single manager in the world who drops his captain and the best goalscorer in the history of your country from a final.

You can argue with the style of play(or the lack of it) but not with the decision to play Kane ahead of Ollie.

I feel for Ollie, his moment of brilliant in Semi final followed by the loss in the final.

Spain were best team in tournament and in final so deserved their win.

Hopefully they won’t be anywhere near these games. They need as long a rest as possible to perform next season.

And that’s why Portugal limped out of the tournament, and we fell at the final hurdle. Really we should have dropped Kane after the group games when it was clear he was struggling, then it wouldn’t have been a big psychological issue.

Doubt they will play any part in the US, probably back at BMH for when the squad returns from the states.

Think he was offside with the one he mis controlled but on the whole he barely got any service , but he’ll always be remembered in this tournament for that winner against the Dutch

he'll spend a lot of time with the tag "should have started in the final" and what could have been, especially if he goes on to have another great season, him and palmer will be remembered for not getting enough of a chance

good that Lineker called out that he at least hurried the Spanish on the ball so even though he didnt get many touches he at least did something

Gutted for him, because he seems the type to relive those missed chances. I'm not getting at him, just highlighting the fact, if he does have a fault, it sometimes that heavy first touch.

Either he had to drop Kane or he had to change tactics/drop foden. Kane needs runners.
