duke313
We can all talk about Ollie work rate etc. but at the end of the day goals win games, he simply has to start scoring regularly at some point.
The_Steve
So sick of him putting his hands on his hips when he loses the ball. He didn't anything to press the Stevenage players when that corner came in.

KevinRichardsonsMoustache
On his day, his effort causes so many problems for defences but he’s not a natural goal scorer. If he can’t offer this, then he can’t be the striker we rely on. Even with it, we need to face facts that he’s a lower half of the premier league striker. We need more. rbcuk
The 2nd goal was down to him switching off and not realising the short corner was being done, he is crap the cross from Bailey 6 yards out and Watkins was no where near the 6 year box
Popular Post StefanAVFC Posted January 8, 2023 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted January 8, 2023 Ran with the ball once today, completely fresh off the bench and ran straight into a league 2 CB who had played 80 mins. Garbage footballer.

Garbage footballer. None our players could beat a man today for some reason. Its like they were all playing wearing Crocs. Thought Dougie was alright. Edit...shout out to Morgan of course for scoring he was decent too! Edited January 8, 2023 by birdman

rodders0223
Would rather spend time arguing with Digne about the goal we conceded and how it wasn't his fault than get the ball for the 5 minutes of stoppage time.
foreveryoung
Was on for 5 minutes and didn't wanna chase the balls back he lost. He just looked like he'd come on for a bit of a run and we were 5-0 up.
mattyvilla
rubbish for the 20min he played but not at all convinced it should be the centre forward defending in the left back position , digne stood where he was and pointed at it
DCJonah
Digne and Young absolutely laid into him after the 2nd goal.
The_Steve
The lack of effort is staggering. I'd be happy if he didn't play for awhile.
OutByEaster? Posted January 8, 2023 Moderator Share Posted January 8, 2023 I'm not sure the second goal is on him - I have a feeling he's not supposed to be the one who goes out to the ball with the Stevenage player - I think he just happens to be the first of our players to see it and the only one to leave his position. Someone (and I'm not sure who) has already blown their assignment when that clip starts - it's somebody's responsibility to be going out to the corner with the Stevenage player and there's no one there. Perhaps it was meant to be Dendoncker and no one had picked the responsibility up - but I don't think it was meant to be Watkins, his job is to protect the near post - he's just the nearest we have to a reaction.

Tom13
Yeah it's a laughably poor goal to concede.

To be fair he blocks it if the guy shoots for the far post. How a professional keeper gets beaten at his near post there is beyond me.

It’s the lack of pace, it’s his desire to faintly stick out a leg knowing he won’t get anywhere near it. It’s a short corner and he needs to do better. Ollie needs to take some blame here.
