useless
U14s beat Albion 5-3 in the Albert Phelan yesterday, they won their first game 3-2 against Wolves a couple of weeks ago. FA Youth Cup draw must be soon, was November 16th last year, hopefully we get a good draw.

useless
Not sure how good or bad of a draw that is, Brentford's U18s were formed at the start of this season and compete in the South East Youth Alliance League against other Category four Status academies, they're bottom of their table below the likes of Sutton United, Cambridge, Stevenage and others. Based on that seems a very winnable game, Burton Albion who we beat 9-0 a couple of seasons ago are a Category Status Four team and at the time were doing better than Brentford are doing now, so it's not a great level relatively speaking. But the difficulty of the game might depend on how many players Brentford can use from their B team, when they played our U21s recently I think most of those if not all of them were too old for the FA Youth Cup. If we're playing a team made up largely of players from their U18s that compete in the Youth Alliance League then we should be favorites but of course can't take anything for granted.

useless
U18 league games never streamed, but the FA Youth Cup game at home to Brentford will be shown on VillaTV, and probably played at Villa Park. I imagine line-up for that will be quite different from the team that played today, I'd expect the likes of Smith, Feeney, Triston Rowe, Rory Wilson, Kadan Young, Omari Kellyman, and maybe others if available to come in. OutByEaster? Posted November 19, 2022 Moderator Share Posted November 19, 2022 Yep, I have a feeling that the line up for that one could end up looking more like our U21 team today than our U18 team today.
messi11
Oh no we've lost Tristan Rowe to Chelsea! What's the point of having an academy if we lose our best players. We are a Chelsea and Man city feeder club.

What's the point of having an academy if we lose our best players. We are a Chelsea and Man city feeder club. The article I have read today suggests that they were targetting him, but hadn't seen that he had agreed to go there yet. Is this now confirmed that he is leaving? Chelsea target Villa youngster Chelsea are tracking 16-year-old full back Triston Rowe, who is playing five years above his age group at Aston Villa. The England Under-16s international has long been on Chelsea’s radar having played for his country at the youngest age groups. They recently watched the teenage right-back move between West Brom and Villa just 18 months ago but have now identified him as an option to strengthen. Chelsea’s scouts are particularly impressed seeing Rowe play across his three Under-21s appearances at such a young age. Rowe has also made a further four appearances playing for Villa’s Under-18s group. The interest in Rowe is part of a wide-scale investment plan at the academy level after budgets rose following the Boehly-Clearlake takeover. The Blues spent well over £30million signing teenage stars through their academy budget like Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei and Omari Hutchinson. They want to continue that trend into the upcoming January transfer window and beyond.

duke313
Just now, messi11 said: At 15 years of age? lol Anyways we will never know if Chelsea put a shit load of money in his parents bank account Well, no, he obviously isn't going to play just now, and probably not for a good few years yet But Chelsea play in the CL regularly, would you rather be in an academy whose senior team is in the CL or one that isn't?
