Like iroegbunam or even carney chukwuemeka. Which might also contribute to the confusion. It is not straight forward. Last year we had 3 different teams broadly speaking : 1. U18 league team ( without best under 18 players who were part of U23 league team) 2. U23 league team ( over 18 players and the best of under 18) 3. FA Youth Cup team ( all best under 18 players) Edited September 11, 2021 by Czarnikjak
lexicon
One nil up at half time thanks to a Dewaine Dibley/Sewell pen in the 37th minute - Ajani Burchall was fouled to win the pen. Edited September 11, 2021 by lexicon
lexicon
2-1 now We got a 2nd from Kyrie Pierre (Assisted by Burchall) and two minutes later they got a goal back.
OutByEaster? Posted September 11, 2021 Moderator Share Posted September 11, 2021 2-1 up at the moment, a first goal for Pierre putting us two up. Sounds like Burchall had a really good 67 minutes before he was substituted.

useless
Disappointing to lose a two goal lead, but 2-2 against Crystal Palace isn't a bad result, especially as seven of our starting eleven were first year scholars making their first start of the season, some of them their debuts for us at U18 level. Also Palace finished second last season and could have still won the league going into the last game of the season, and they've also started this season well, today being the first game that they've dropped points, so they're not a bad team at all. Players like Feeney, Patterson, Barnes, Kadan Young, and Shakpoke all still to come back into the contention as well, albeit with the U18s they're always going to lose the better players to the U23s. useless
Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup are two different competitions. Today's team was... Zych, Rhodes, Softley, O'Reilly, Munroe; McBride, Afoka, Alcock, Reddin, Hart, Sewell. Subs: Wright, Patterson, Pierre, Barber, Lutz. FA Youth Cup team will presumably be stronger and see the likes of Bogarde, Chrisene, Feeney, Swinkels, Burchall, Iroegbunam and others come into the side, hopefully Shakpoke too if he can get fit. Steero113
Ridiculous to think that youth prospects in and around the first team this season we have: J Ramsey - Established PL starter now, seemingly solved our short term issues with a box to box midfielder and only going to get better. JPB - Injured at the moment but was the standout wide player in pre-season. Carney Chukwuemeka - touted as the best 16 year old in England by our CEO, still only 17, the youngest CM PL starter in a decade and should have a PL goal to his name already no thanks to the paintwork at Spurs. Kaine Kesler-Hayden - Getting rave reviews at Swindon and surely will be knocking on the door next season as our long term RB. Aaron Ramsey - Allegedly the "better" of the three (!) Ramsey brothers. Cameron Archer - Already has a senior hat-trick and is now consistently making the PL bench. That list is without even mentioning Louie Barry, Arjan Raikhy, Caleb Chukwuemeka, Brad Young and about 5 others who have all shown themselves to have top tier potential. Scary.
useless
Just seen that Anton Hooper and Isaiah Bazeley-Graham have both recently signed for new clubs after being free agents for over a year after being released by us in 2020. Hooper has signed for Chesam United and Bazeley-Graham is now with Barwell. I think that's all the released players from 2020 with new clubs now, and only Ben Guy, Brad Burton, and Charlie Farr are without new clubs from the players released this summer, Farr unlucky with his injury otherwise I think he probably would have at least been picked up by another decent academy, similar to how Harrison Sohna is now with Sunderland U23s and Lewis Brunt is with Leicester City U23s. I was put in mind of this after watching the Panorama episode 'Football's Broken Dreams' which talks about the underhand methods agents use to sign youth players, but also the mental health impact on youngsters when they don't make it
HalfTimePost
I haven't watched it yet but it's on my list to get to. Is it worth it? With it in mind and how competitive our Academy now must be coming, it'd be nice for the club to do a bit of PR about how we help those who don't make it with us. useless
A lot of the information it gives are things that a lot of people will already know about, agent fees when players under sixteen shouldn't even have agents, tapping up on social media, gifts to parents and so on, but still interesting enough. Foday Nabay who I think was linked with us at one point, was interviewed, and as a result his agent from the time is now under investigation.
