Got a mate who works at West Brom, said this would happen weeks ago. Harrison builds young talented teams and throws them in against men, Purslow has alluded to this aswell. You have to trust that it is part of the process for the young lads to learn and use their talent agains fully grown man while they grow up themselves.

Goalkeeper and defenders had a very poor day at the office. Nothing really came off for Aaron Ramsey/Tyreik Wright/Vassilev (bar a well-taken pen). Jacob Ramsey was good - I think he's good enough for a loan to the Championship, with a view to being integrated to the first team the following season. JPB had flashes of quality. Chukwuemeka didn't do much first half, but second half improved a lot, winning the pen and dribbling/passing well.

Hornso
Sounds like the old "men against boys" cliche. I'm sure we will see improvement from the U/21s throughout the competition and their results will improve. MessiWillSignForVilla
Not sure if this should go here or in the speculation thread, but looks like we're trying to sign Carney Chukwuemeka's brother. 2
TrentVilla Posted September 10, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 10, 2020 He has rejected a professional deal at Northampton so is going to move somewhere, given we have his brother you would think if we are in for him we would get him. useless
Apparently scored 16 and assisted 14 for Northampton before lockdown, which seems pretty good going. If he does sign, that will be four sets of brothers in our youth set up. Edited September 10, 2020 by useless

useless
Soccerway has the line-ups Looks like we've also brought in Chisom Afoka a midfielder from West Brom, he's on the bench. Edited September 12, 2020 by useless
OutByEaster? Posted September 12, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 12, 2020 Finished 2-1 - nice to start the season with a win. There's an article about the rebuilding of our academy on the Athletic - I don't subscribe, is there anything decent in it?
useless
Kahrel Reddin and Bradley Young with our goals assisted by Chrisene and Sewell, new signings Swinkels, Chrisene, McBride and Afoku all made their debuts. Can't find out much about Afoku, other than he's come from West Brom's academy, was called up to the England U15 squad a couple of years ago, and he's a midfielder. useless
Caleb Chukwuemeka made his professional debut for Northampton yesterday. So maybe he's agreed to stay with them after all. 1
