Next to the basketballs, was a display case that had guns, including a Magnum ala Dirty Harry. Utterly insane.

If it's clear enough, you have to imagine the men in grey suits might be going in to make matters clear. Otherwise I imagine we're headed for court. Men in white suits might be more appropriate. That is not unique to the US. I live in Sweden and some of the big hardware stores have gun displays near the front door as you walk in, selling pistols rifles and shotguns. Hunting is a pretty popular hobby here. The problem in the US is the culture of fear.

I have honestly never seen this.

You need to go through a f***-ton of legislation hoops, having a hunting license (or maybe being active in the military, not sure) to be able to sell hunting-gear and the permissions are only issued by the Police. The only store I know of besides the specialists to bother with it are some of the XXL sport stores. 2

Xela
Do we think Trumps time is up? Or are the bookies/polls underestimating him again? Looking at the odds just one day before the 2016 election, Clinton was 1/5 and Trump 4/1 (oddschecker) Biden is looking clear favourite this time... but can those odds be trusted? HanoiVillan
Well, I certainly don't think that UK bookmakers have any better idea than a reasonably discriminating look at the polls would give you.

Betting odds are principally a reflection of where money has been placed. Last time it was expected that Clinton would win, lots of money had been placed on that outcome and the odds reflected that. This time (probably strongly as a consequence of 2016) there is a much more even split on where the money has gone. So the polls heavily favour Biden, but as the money has been split more evenly it's basically 1/2 Biden, 2/1 Trump. Trumps chances last time were basically rolling a one or a two off one die. His chances this time are rolling eleven off two dice. Neither are impossible, neither are likely. The 2016 result is more likely than that 2020 win.
