S-Platt Posted October 1, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted October 1, 2023 He will learn from his mistakes it's only his 3rd or so game at the top level so will improve as he gains the experience. Exactly the reasons we sold him with a buyback. Sink or Swim I guess same with Archer.
Popular Post Xela
Before anyone writes him off after a handful of games for Burnley, lets go back just over 2 years (14th August 2021) on this forum, and the thread on Jacob Ramsey: Quote "absolutely dog shit", "Were meant to be chasing top six and were still having to rely on Ramsey", "toilet", "crap", "Ramsey is always dogshit", " if we are serious about progressing then he should be nowhere near the team this season. Whenever he starts he is poor", "Cannot for the life of me understand what Ramsey offers". Most players need more than a couple of games to shine. Same as Archer.

Pinebro
JJ just look stronger to me and more driven. Club wouldn't have sold him if they believe he had a higher ceiling than his brother.

Rich192
He was the best player on the pitch in his full debut against Man Utd. If we judged all players on how they played at St James’s Park, well, not many Villa players would come out with much credit. I’m more convinced than ever that he’ll be a very good Premier League player.

MWARLEY2
Good footballer. Just like Archer and Philogene. But being good enough to play for the Villa now is a whole different ball game. I hope he settles well and shows Emery what he is missing but the standard needed might not be achievable.
Villatillidie95
starts on the bench today. I think we have done the right thing, moving on all 3 players. I dont think they would have the gametime to develop in the way they need to here. Hoping AJ has a good cameo appearance off the bench

BBC Live text said he'd got a knock and had to go off...4 minutes into injury time. Hopefully nothing serious but can't find any more info at the moment. 1

Pinebro
Not gone well for Ramsey and Archer has it. Turns out Emery knows what he is doing and knows how to analyse a player.

To be fair it would be interesting to see how both would do next season in the championship. Both Burnley and Sheff Utd. are out of their depth in this league, very hard for a young player to impress at those clubs this season.
