MaVilla
Someone on VT said they had watched him in the champ for Swansea (and didn't know who he was), but was so impressed with his play looked him up and it was Baston. He actually looked a very decent, drops deep and links up well with those around him, has a good first touch and good vision. Not expecting miracles, but think he might surpise a few and score a few vital goals for us coming off the bench. This was it.
Popular Post holteend1982
Came on and set up son for a sitter with a terrible touch then in the 94th minute flew into a header to win the ball of Luiz which ultimately led to Engels shocking mistake. I dont like to judge players over such a short period but its pretty obvious how crap this guy is.
Thug
Odd contribution to the game today. first laying it on a plate for their guy, then charging 15 yards to be the only challenger to Douglas for a header on the halfway line. Needs to calm down a bit methinks.
Tomaszk
Just watched the goal back. What the hell is he doing Spurs have stopped, it's over, they're going home with a point. He runs backwards where can **** see it's two of our players going for it and bangs into the back of one of them. What's the plan? What's he trying to do? Thug
He’s probably used to playing in a white shirt? God knows. 45 minutes ago, Tomaszk said: Just watched the goal back. VillaChris
Completely missed his apparent role in the goal so will need another look. Basically a debut to me of him coming on when we didn't have any control and were content to hang onto the point so he barely got a point. Very difficult to judge.
Tom13
If he hadn't have stupidly gone for that header, he would probably have been there to receive Luiz's header. Shockingly bad contribution.
BleedClaretAndBlue
Looked like he won a competition. Out of his depth. Vassilev genuine better option to press and harass the opposition, Baston does this but to his teammates. Annoying, Smiths subs in the last 2 games have killed our momentum going into the closing stages
the_eristic
Was probably just desperate to try to do *something*. Totally not the time to bring him on given Samatta was still going strong and causing problems, though. 1
New_Hope
Having watched it again and as stupid as it was, it didn't have a direct affect on the goal at all. The ball could have gone anywhere, the spurs player could have controlled it and looked for a pass rather than hoof and of course Engels could have done better with it. MaVilla
Not gonna judge him on a first outing. If hes guilty of anything its simply trying too hard in his first outing, not gonna knock him for that.
