It can be spread via physical contact so something as innocuous as shaking hands. Who knows maybe even contact with door handles etc.

I'd like to think we'd be better prepared for another pandemic but as you say people won't trust what the politicians say. Just out to stock up on toilet roll.... Don't need toilet roll with monkeypox. Just shit in your hand and throw it!

Tayls
It also says being in close proximity to someone, as it can be caught from coughs/sneezes or bits of saliva when people are talking, and bedding/towels etc. But yea - touching scabs of someone that has it is probably the main one. Rugeley Villa
How many of us like touching other peoples scabs? Not many I bet. Sex is a big one also. It was rife among gay men in Africa but has obviously started to spread more.

Or is it that particular community tends to self report more health problems, like with all diseases "rife in the gay community".

Yes certain studies outside Africa also say the same that it seems to be prevalent in the gay community but more studies need to be done. I wasn’t try to attach this thing to gay people just stating what’s reported. One thing I’ve learned in life is that you should not question everything . I wasn’t try to attach this thing to gay people just stating what’s reported. Because that cohort is most likely to self report health issues. They are a really good indicator of wider problems, but wording it like this means that people think "I'm not in that community so I'm okay" and then blame that population. 31 minutes ago, Rugeley Villa said: One thing I’ve learned in life is that you should not question everything .
