Farlz
Things aren't looking ideal but my opinion hasn't changed, still backing Smith.

I mean, how do you think we got to Smith in the first place? Having the balls to sack Bruce for his incompetence. There'd be a better argument that changing managers doesn't work if Bruce was the one that got us up. Frequently changing managers has rarely been the main problem, its more the symptom of a more fundamental problem,. There are times when your position becomes untenable, such as if you start to become adrift in the relegation zone. Lambert got there, McLeish was a bit unlucky in that respect, but we weren't used to our position of relegation fodder at that point. We're not even close to that point with Smith yet. We lost to a team that have been averaging 4 goals against us in the last 10 years and are a point off safety. It's not even close to untenable. useless
We were in the bottom three on goal difference only when Lambert left, and still had thirteen games left to play with Benteke returning to match fitness. We also had more points after twenty-two games that season than we have now. Lambert was sacked, we were relegated the following season as one of the worst premier league teams ever - something some try and blame on Lambert, but we'd bought an whole new team in the summer - and then spent three years in the championship, and on our return to the premier league are doing worse than Lambert ever did, despite having spent much more money than he ever did. Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Roger Schmidt is the best suggestion on this thread, hopefully there will be a response from the team next week but if not then hopefully contact will be made.
Dr_Pangloss
Not exactly 'smith out' but I'd be open to him being replaced.
Delphinho123
I wouldn’t mind a manager that could sign a striker. That’s the only pre-requisite for me at the moment.
thabucks
Was impressed by the write up Villa Analytical did on Roger Schmidt... Not saying he is the answer but after reading up on him he sounds impressive & attainable...
Tomaszk
The options in that poll are so funny. Mods take it down before someone sees ffs. No point replacing him now, too late. Was a tiny option if we'd done it early Jan. Just getting in ahead of tomorrow 5pm

It's Your Round
It’s got to be Dwight Yorke, we’ve overlooked him so many times now it’s becoming really unfair. He’s really keen to manage us, or anyone, and we have to respect the fact he hasn’t wasted his time learning how to manage in the lower, rubbish, leagues. 1
