Pertinent to nothing, reading this lead me on a long Google expedition which ended with a web page titled: "What is someone poops in my swimming pool?" Isn't life rather like the fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea, where the more pampered you are the more sensitive you become to minor discomforts?
Marka Ragnos Posted March 15 VT Supporter Share Posted March 15 We should challenge people when they use the "b word" because, no matter how casually or innocuously it may be meant, it always* carries the gendered freight of ugly sexism, and ultimately, its meaning is based on denigrating women. It's especially a problem when we use it for women as a noun. * The one exception may be in dog breeding, where the term is still used widely, if awkwardly. Mark Albrighton Posted March 15 VT Supporter Share Posted March 15 Oh damn Meredith Brooks ain’t going to be happy reading that. (I never use the word, well certainly not in the context of a woman, I might use it in a way Jesse Pinkman might)

I just had a mini unserious moan to the other half, and in order to avoid the b word, I said 'witches'. She pointed out that whilst she admired the intent, I was doing it wrong.
VILLAMARV
I'll admit, the b-word @Marka Ragnos referred to was the 3rd one that appeared on the list in my mind

Try spending £60 every other week as a teen now. Unless you are in a war/starvation situation (or need specialist medical help) no generation has it easier/worse than the next.
