We are doing quite well, but we are starting every single match with a major handicap. Exactly how I've felt all season. It's got to point where its just sabotage now. Popular Post MaVilla
Haven't really paid attention to the game or score, but let me guess: 1) blah blah we are sh*t terrible relegated waaah (playing against the current second best side in the UK) 2) Wesley is to blame, sub him he's rubbish OMG. 3) our midfield is terrible ( because it is struggling against one of the best mids in the league) 4) the end is nigh here come the horsemen of the apocalypse.

TheMightyVillans
Mings should have came off straight away. You don't just limp around for 5mins when vardy is on the other team. Maybe if they had Andy Carroll upfront you could risk it.
VillaAlex
I don't think we're playing too great, but this Leicester side are superb. Better than the team that won the league, from what I've seen recently.

It wasn't just this one goal, its pretty much been ever chance they've had although how much of it is down to the quality of their attack or the incompetence of our defence I'm not entirely sure. Probably both.
striker Posted December 8, 2019 Visiting Supporter Share Posted December 8, 2019 Good first half of football with both teams going for it. Clearly Leicester are more clinical going forward but it could very well be 2-2 at the break. Someone should play a video of Vardi's movement to Wesley who although is a different striker is still far too static for a sole forward. Villa need a much better figurehead in January. OxfordVillan
2 minutes ago, Dr_Pangloss said: Our central midfield is no where near as good as we initially thought. I do wonder at what point we admit to ourselves that we’re getting it wrong in midfield on a regular basis. I do think the manager is repeating a lot of mistakes thus far, and the crazy decision not to sub Mings straight away in this match is a big mistake. For me we seem to lack in clinical decision making. Clear and authoritative decision making. We appear soft. Midfield just completely ineffective defensively. It cannot continue if we want to avoid relegation.
