It's Your Round
I’ve put a £1 on Villa to win 4-3, it’s only 200-1 so stands a good chance of paying for this weekends wine.
Keyblade
Can't wait to see Henderson and co come up against McGinn and Nakamba. I know Liverpool's overall quality will kind of nullify that mismatch but it will be funny to see how Hendo responds to that first arse roll.
KenjiOgiwara
I am surprisingly optimistic. No idea why. But gonna drop some money on a liverpool win methinks. At least I can make a few quid if the rest of my weekend will be sour anyway.
Only2McInallys
We seem to fade in the second half of games so essential we keep it tight until half time. This hopefully will keep our fans in good voice. I would start El gazi and bring Trezeguet on in 2nd half. Dont think Grealish should be risked if he is not fit -he is too important to us. I love Villa but I spend enough money just following them. Not sure I love them enough to lose bets when they win. Ironic because I always bet on them to win! Enda
Definitely need two defensive midfielders to counteract Liverpool’s high pressing. Jack could be a crucial anchor. I’ll get eaten alive, but I’d drop AEG and Trez. Put Jack and Conor in midfield (switching sides) with SJM in between them. We need Jack for obvious reasons, and I think Conor is more likely to provide us a goal threat than either AEG or Trez at the moment. Wesley up front, absolutely hounding them. We’ll lose 3-1.

I don't do match nerves very well, so if I got a big bet going I know it's a win/win situation, I am able to relax. sir_gary_cahill
My side would be: (feel free to criticise or obliterate even) Heaton Guilbert Engels Mings Targett McGinn Nakamba Luiz Trezeguet Wesley Grealish (if fit, if not El Ghazi) Bench: Steer, Elmohamady, Konsa, Taylor, Lansbury, El Ghazi (if Grealish is fit) Davis Liverpool are a great side and should be respected but not feared, they are the current European champions. If we play like we did against Man City, particularly during the first half, we will have a chance. Personally, I think anyone can beat anyone on any given day, it should be a great spectacle

You're right, Engels has looked pretty solid this season and will probably start tomorrow but I don't think it's ludacris to suggest a) Konsa might be better suited to nullify Liverpool's front three or b) playing Konsa would automatically mean we are defeated

Tomaszk
Fabinho won't play as he'll miss the city game next week if he gets booked. I think we'll see Henderson and Milner both in centre mid. Maybe just Henderson behind Ox and Wijnaldum. We can get at that midfield. It's industry not quality. If Grealish doesn't start we'll do well to still be in the game by 60 mins. If we're within a goal, the lift the crowd will get when he comes on will be enjoyable. Looking forward to this but definitely a game we could get really humbled. Can't give them free shots from 12-25 yards. This ain't Brighton, Salah and Mane will pass those shots into the corners all day long. Edited November 2, 2019 by Tomaszk

romavillan Posted November 2, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted November 2, 2019 Total free hit, I'd rest Grealish no matter how much he might want to play, we need him in the other games where we have a good chance fo getting points. Risking him and him breaking down and not playing for a whiel woudl really hurt our season. I'd start the same shape as we did against city though, we will go for it regardless (as we should) with 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

I’d play him if he’s fit. I honestly believe they are beatable.
