Popular Post JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Man U have just signed 30 year old ex Watford striker Ighalo from China, to put things into perspective. Think that was their first choice? Sometimes necessity takes precedence over want.

Paul33
Baston sounds like a donkey ..... which I'm quite excited by because usually we hammer through boxes of tissues at every forward we sign and then find they are actually donkeys. My theory is this one goes the other way ..... he is a donkey on the face of it BUT is going to be a huge success !!! 2
Popular Post Brumstopdogs
https://www.swanseacity.com/news/borja-baston-leaves-swansea-city-aston-villa Quote Swansea City striker Borja Baston has left the club to join Aston Villa on a free transfer, subject to international clearance. The Spaniard, whose contract was due to expire in the summer, links up with Dean Smith’s Villans as they look to plot a path to Premier League survival. The 27-year-old joined the Swans from Atletico Madrid for a club-record fee in the summer of 2016. He went on to have loan spells with Malaga and Alaves in his homeland, before returning to SA1 last summer. He scored six goals in 21 appearances this term, including five in the opening month of the campaign. We can also confirm that agreement has been reached with Tom Carroll for the midfielder's contract to be terminated with immediate effect. The 27-year-old's deal had been due to expire at the end of the season, and leaves the Swans having made 103 appearances - scoring three goals - across two spells in SA1. Everybody at Swansea City thanks Borja and Tom for their services to the club, and wish them well in their careers.

gaz90
This place is going to erupt.... Jim White just said on SSN that we turned down Ighalo last night (who's just signed for Man Utd) and we rejected approaches from Celtic and Sheffield Utd for Neil Taylor. I wonder what wages Ighalo is on at Man U. Probably massive to what we would've offered. Vive_La_Villa
Maybe he didn’t have the right character for us. You have to question the ambition of a player that moves to China whilst at the peak of their career. Also for all of Taylor’s faults we still need him as cover for Targett. useless
Would have been stupid to let Taylor go without a replacment, and I'm pretty sure that Ighalo was on astronomical wages in China so not surprised we turned that down.
