Archer to Southampton deal being investigated by FIFA.

Apparently as it "looks like" a bridge transfer, which says a player cannot be transferred in, then transferred out within 16 weeks unless there is an adequate explanation.

Hopefully its a bit of a nothing story, as its pretty Clear why we sold him on, because we had to buy him back with a mandatory clause, and we didnt want to keep him, so sold him on.

Nonsense.

Bridge transfers are an assumed wrong, which you have to prove innocence on. We can easily do that as the transfer is a result of contractual obligation and our still wanting to sell the player. There's no dodgy element that makes 'a bridge transfer' a thing between the clubs, so it's nothing.

Exactly, FIFA need to do investigation and make judgement. It's a non issue, just a formality

Good job we have a totally adequate explanation then isn't it.  Nothing story

His pen lost the game for Southampton. Shocking

Didn't help that the ref decided to wait half an hour before blowing the whistle for him to take it, but even so not a great pen.

Gutted for the kid.

Ive lived in the New Forest since 1996 so I have a soft spot for the Saints… I was really hoping he would shrug off the Sheffield United blues from last season and show what he could do…

Hope this doesn’t rattle his confidence too much…

Lallana should have taken that penalty really
